Come for the vintage, stay for the conversation, I drive down Irving Blvd. every day, this place always caught my eye due to the cool old bike outside. Along with Big State Drug marquee in the background this is Main Street America USA. My love for the history makes me a sucker for antique stores so I stop by. The shop owner Phillip gives a friendly hello. The shop isn’t very big but it’s full of cool knicks knacks and furniture. Their real strong suit however is collectible glass wear. While i dont collect glass wear I’ve gotten some great finds here, a leather stope for my straight razor collection, Thai Buddha bottle openers, to name a few. Some of the neatest stuff for me is in the back room there a pinball machine, military uniforms, furniture and wall art fill the room. What I like the most about the store isn’t always the merchandise, it’s the owner himself. I have great respect for someone who is in a business because he loves it. When I see something I like, Phillip can usually tell me all about it and it’s history. I often stop by to see the latest find and new projects, he does a lot of furniture restoration on site. You should stop on by. Vintage Americana
