Been coming here periodically since i was a little boy. My Grandparents and mother(rest their souls) loved the place. I too love the place. Full meal with soup salad and coffeee. This is run old school style, like an eatery straight out of an old black and white movie. I would not have it any other way. Awesome service, great owners. Best fish on Long Island, period.

Family owned and operated. The new décor a vast improvement. Highly accommodating when requesting non-menu specials or substitutions. A complete meal for the price of an entrée at other places. Used their ballroom for a number of parties and each time was impressed with the food and service. The catering price per person is very reasonable. Also attended a number of parties and special occasion events and each time had a great time. The owners, Mr. and Mrs. Lambrou and their sons, Nick and Andy(who operate the restaurant and catering business on a daily basis), make you feel part of their family. The seafood and fish dishes are great.

When I visit my family in Long Island, we usually end up at crowded popular, hot-spots. Tonight, the lines at our favorites were hours long so we decided to try something different. I’m glad we did. The menu and atmosphere are very dated, but we really enjoyed it. Simple, good seafood at a reasonable price. There aren’t many places where you have a nice slow-paced meal that includes soup AND salad, coffee AND desert with the cost of your entrée. Truly a blast from the past.

New remodeled décor. New modern menu ! Went with a few friends last night and we all had an amazing time and amazing food and drinks. The captains platter was really good and loaded with fresh seafood. The filet mignon was cooked perfectly and melts in your mouth. Glad we came back after many months. Glad to see this family owned resturaunt is getting some good buzz and a new fresh look. I absolutely support local family owned places. You get treated like family.

A throwback to the glory days of the 1970’s and diner dinner fare. Not too many places like this left on Long Island. Bring the grandparents. They’ll LOVEIT!

I came here back in Spring for an engagement party. The setup is great. The food was average. I did really enjoy the tilapia and shimp pasta. The bartenders were great and super friendly. Good drinks. The place was clean. Oddly enough, even though I drank a lot I didnt use the bathroom however, based on everyones bathroom selfies that I later found on facebook and instagram, it looked pretty clean to me! The DJ that night didnt do it for, Im not sure if he came with the place or he was hired privately but he wasn’t good. I believe at one point in the night he played Let it Go from Frozen. Maybe at a baby shower or sweet 16 that would been cute I guess. The owner, an older woman, came out to say hello to my friend during the party. Nice lady and I thought it was nice that she did that. The parking lot is a decent size and the place is easy to find. Its overall a nice hall. I would recommend this place.

Let’s do the time warp again! Let’s do the time warp again! Have you ever wanted to eat out the way your grandmother and grandfather did? Well fortunately for us Long Islanders, we have a relic of a restaurant here. Lambrou’s is a cavernous, old seafood restaurant that does things very traditionally. From the white table linens and parquet dance floor to the way your meal is laid out, including soup, salad and entrée. This 45 year old family run Island Park landmark runs like a classy old Rolls Royce. I almost felt guilty wearing jeans and a button down sport shirt in the nearly empty dining room. Time literally seems to slow down in here! We ordered Tilapia Almondine and Sole Athenian(stuffed with spinach and feta). Both were delicious! The prices are very reasonable and for a couple including one dessert to share was about $ 45.00. So don’t fight the crowds at trendy downtown bistros… slow down and actually make dining out a classy event… like your grandparents did.

Do you ever wish you could have a great meal –without fighting for parking –without paying a fortune –without waiting to be seated even on a Friday night –without feeling rushed or stressed in any way This place is that place. Went there last night with my wife’s family, 8 of us total; seated immediately, drinks in 3 minutes appetizers 3 minutes later. Lamb chops, crab legs, surf and turf, and fresh fish of the day were enjoyed by all of us, nothing left to take home. You could show up with 50 people and you’d be seated and treated like long lost family. So happy to have found this place, though we’ve lived 5 miles away for 20 years and never tried it before. Post Sandy remodeling is very nice; great bar service too, and they take a great deal of pride in the fresh coffee they serve with dessert.

I wish that more people have given Lambrou a chance. With so many trendy places with celebrity chefs, Lambrou’s stands out as an honest, family owned business with fantastic, fresh food. Yes, it’s not a scenster kind of place, and probably, would appeal more to older crowd and families. We have had a party for my 1 year old, a 75th birthday for my Mom, and also, attended 2 of the Halloween parties.

Lambrou’s is a family owned seafood operation. They have some really good deals for dinner. For instance, for $ 20 or so you can get an entrée with soup AND salad, dessert, the entrée itself, and I think a free coffee or tea as well. I go here when I can eat quite a bit, and want some good seafood for a good price The salads come out ice cold usually, so I imagine they’re pre-made. Not the best they have to offer, for sure. Also, the décor seems to be stuck in 1980.. It’s the kind of place to take grandma to, not the hot chick you met in a bar. If you can overlook the fact that some of the food is apparently pre-made, and the décor is nothing special… then you can probably enjoy a good bite of food here. The BAR, however, is a pretty amazing piece of craftsmanship. as are the tables in the bar area. The bartender isn’t a young buck, but I’m sure he can make an amazing Old Fashioned or Manhattan.
