This is a wonderful souvenir and gift shop. Prices are fair and the location is perfect, across from the beach. The two female employees were very courteous and helpful. Will definitely return for my beach needs

I loved all the shells, I loved«Bubba» the parrot– his nickname had a «redneck» charm. The store associate politely answered my questions about him. And then I noticed a small collection of Confederate memorabilia– even Confederate flag towels. I shrugged it off. I’m not from the South, but I do understand that some people insist on holding onto Confederate history despite how offensive it is to some people. I came upon a shelf with figurines of Confederate soldiers on top, a dog proudly holding the Confederate flag and then right below it, figurines of a famous Aunt Jemima character in black face and just when I thought it couldn’t get ANY worse, a little black boy eating watermelon. I was so appalled, I took photos and left, but I came back and spoke to the store associate asking if he’d had any complaints about it before. He said yes but the owner/ordering manager still hadn’t done anything about it. Wow… welcome to South Carolina.
