My boyfriend and I didn’t realize check-out was at 10 instead of 11. Not a problem– would have been packed up and out in 20 min. INSTEAD the owner comes banging on the door and begins cussing at my boyfriend to get out at 1040. Not sure if this comes with the territory of being a young couple but regardless we are paying customers and should be treated with the same respect as other guests.

The good: Clean, quiet, short walk to beach, nice kitchenette, excellent high speed wireless internet access, on-site managers who seem to care about both the place and the clients. The bad: — Room 210 has one window. And it wouldn’t open. Seriously. — Charged $ 5 for internet access. Seems petty. — No hot water, only luke warm. This was fine considering the 95 degree temperatures outside, but might be rough in the winter time. I might stay here again but would try to get a room with working window(s).

I’ve stayed at the Ocean Inn twice now. It’s perfect for my wife, dogs, and I. The apartment is clean and cozy. We like the porch where we can sit and watch the world go by. The staff lives on site and takes good care if the grounds. There is a pool which is a good alternative to the ocean. The beach is a short walk as are some of the tourist-trap overpriced restaurants. Do yourself a favor and go to dinner on Sullivan’s Island. I hope to be back soon. It’s hard to beat clean, cozy, convenient, and comfortable.
