Definitely a great place to have your breakfast when you travel in the suburbs of Chicago.

You get so much food!!! My pancakes were fluffy and perfect and pretty much to die for. Skillet was on point with the ratio of all the potatoes, meats, cheese, and veggies. The board with all the shake flavors sounded so appealing. The prices can’t be beat for a quick work lunch. I’ll have to try the coffee and a gyro next time! It’s located next to an amazing bakery, and absolutely worth the visit.

Great food and love the 50’s /​60’s look the home made soups are amazing especially the vegetable! Only here for this week and have been there for 2 lunches and a breakfast and going back again! Could only wish there was a place like this everywhere I travel too.

Excellent soup. Had the grilled chicken with avocado, dish. Don’t miss the homemade potato salad. Next to an awesome bakery.

Such a cute place to eat!!! You can tell the staff here is happy and they really care about the customers and the food. Husband and I ordered breakfast and we both loved loved loved our food! Their gyro omelet was the best I’ve ever had. This place just had a really great feel to it too. Can’t wait to go back!

Little diner located in «downtown» Itasca.
This is a small diner with tile flooring and walls. Booths line the right side of the restaurant, tables for four down the middle, and bar style seating on the left. They have a TV that plays daytime television which fits with the atmosphere appropriately. Feels like something out of Happy Days.
Come in and seat yourself.
They have a pretty extensive menu that highlights breakfast items as well as some sandwich, soup, and salad options that could be ordered for a good lunch. I had the Cajun chicken sandwich which came with soup and fries. These were all good and I ordered a chocolate shake to go. The service was warm and it felt like you were being served at home.

A little biased because we know the owners but the owner themselves work in the kitchen as their passion is for food so it’s delightful that they enjoy pleasing their customers and work hard on their business.
A retro style inviting diner that’s clean and has a hard working waitress on an a crispy cold Saturday morning made the place feel warm and comfortable. Prices before 10 am have specials and you will make your wallet happy by spending a few bucks on fresh eggs. We came in past 10 but the prices were still amazing– ordered some gyros in my omelette and feel free to happily make changes or any substitutes.
Forget the iHops, and other diners that have poor Unilocal ratings, or too many visitors– this diner right by the train station is a perfect stop to fill up on any given day. Perfect for a larger group or small, dishes come quick (depending on how many people) and coffee isn’t bad either.

Never knew this place existed. Will have to bring the family by. Had the gyro and it was great. Great 50’s diner décor.

We’ve been coming here for years and have never left a review. It’s amazing! The waitresses are all kind and responsive. The waitress named Kiki is our favorite. She’s a little peach. The owner, Bessie, is very friendly as well. Great food too! I always get the meat lovers skillet with scramby eggs. Yummy! I highly recommend this place!

We headed into downtown Itasca today to check it out and found this little gem! An adorable 50’s diner with great food, great music, and great people! Our server was this super sweet Greek lady. We had their Cream of Chicken Soup, Gyros off the spit and a gyros grilled cheese plate. We had no complaints at all. Food was served very quickly and was delicious!
On the way out, we asked if she could make us a Frappé to go. They were frothy perfection!
Needless to say, we will be back!

Popped in here for a quick breakfast today, and we were pretty pleased. My husband ordered eggs Benedict, which was cooked perfectly, with a mild hollandaise sauce. Neither of us were crazy for the hash brown potatoes, but the sausage was very good. I ordered the French toast, and was very happy with it. They used a very fresh egg bread, and knew how to make it warm (instead of overdone) with slightly crispy edges — just how I like it. The coffee hit the spot, as well, mild but flavorful. I can’t recommend lunch as we haven’t tried it yet, but we would return for breakfast again.

I decided to give Daddy O’s another try and wish I hadn’t.
I ordered the Pete’s «special» burger that comes with lettuce, tomato and onion and «special sauce». Server asked how I would like it cooked and I said «medium». It came out more rare than I like. I should have sent it back but I ate half and left the rest.
The fresh cut fries were swimming in oil. I also only ate half. When the serverr asked how everything was, I told her. I hate complaining in a restaurant. When she came back she said that fresh cut fries tend to soak up oil more than other fries. Yes, that’s true when you don’t let them drain from the fryer basket and instead drop them on the plate immediately after pulling them from the fryer.
The server was nice and deleted the amount of the burger from the bill. I said that I wasn’t looking for that and that I should have said something immediately after taking the first bite.
I don’t think I’ll be back.

Great retro décor. Service decent. Food, nothing of note, except it’s faults. Had eggs Benedict. Super runny. Did have real Canadian bacon. Says hashbrowns, but we’re «country fried» (sliced and browned in a roasting pan”. What the hell happened to SHREDDED hash browns? Ordered orange juice. Absolutely the worst. Not fresh, not made from fresh oranges. Had to have been frozen concentrate. They charge $ 2.95 for this terrible liquid. Why can’t they buy fresh orange juice at the grocery store and serve that. Coffee disappointed in coffee. For a Greek eatery it should have been much better. Would I go back, nope.

We were on our way to another breakfast place and this one caught our eye. The 50’s style diner was very clean and had oldies pleasantly playing in the background.
Service was great! They were very fast and friendly and you could tell it was a local favorite to eat at. Great breakfast food with a few twists since the family who owns it came from Greece. The crepes with home made blueberry Greek yogurt were delicious.
We were really glad we stopped; good food, good staff and a good atmosphere are hard to come by anymore.

Great place to watch the Memorial Day parade. They were really busy but cordial and got our order fast. Cool spot to have coffee and breakfast with their outside seating.

This is a smaller locally owned diner located right next to Keans bakery.
The inside is aiming for a 1950’s retro theme and succeeds. Chairs booths and a counter are your seating options. All are new and clean. In the summer a few tables are outside for seating in the fresh air.
The breakfast here is a strong suite, especially the omelets. The cook is originally from greece so anything greek on the item is prepared especially well. The corned beef hash dang tasty .
The lunch items are okay, and every entrée comes with soup. Well, every diner has it’s little quirks.
They have their own shake machine and all the shakes and malts are hand made to order. And delicious.
The waitstaff are all pretty good-​mine knew exactly what an arnold palmer was and how it should be made, which not everyone does.
Parking is shared with Keans. During the rush times can get a little busy, but I’ve never not been able to find a spot.
Five stars for the malts and tasty tasty breakfasts.

Burgers were good, Monte Cristo was awesome!
I did have to ask for syrup though, as I am a strong believer in never picking up french toast with your hands; and slathering it with syrup and powdered sugar.
Fries were large and in-​charge, and hot.
The cold coffee drink I had was not as sweet as I expected. It was very frothy.
Even though it wasn’t sweet, it worked super well with my MC, seeing as I load that thing with 2 sources of sugar. But, if you are expecting a sweet cold coffee, it aint it.
Small number of seats, and it got crowded at lunch, so expect a bit of a crowd if you go a peak times.
Well worth it. Definitely want to check out the shakes next time!
