The Bed and Biscuit offers dog boarding, cat boarding, dog grooming, pet taxi and free pet food delivery service. Dog loving owners are coming to board their pets with us from as far as Cortland, Elmira, Syracuse and Binghamton. We also have dog day care during the summer (May 15th — October 15th).

I am surprised to see the negative reviews of Bed and Biscuit, as our experiences with them have been so vastly different. We boarded our dog there for several years before we moved out of the area. The online reservation system was very efficient and the owners always communicated quickly and clearly. The $ 50 deposit for holiday/​peak weekends is a usual practice at better kennels, as are the specified pick up and drop off hours. Our dog loved it there, and I know he got a lot of attention during his stays. The owners always fussed over him, and our dog greeted them like family. We were sad to leave Bed and Biscuit, they set the bar high — we haven’t found another kennel experience that compares. I wholeheartedly recommend Bed and Biscuit to anyone who loves their dog as much as we do.

We have used Bed and Biscuit for both our dog and our cat multiple times and had only great experiences. We were really nervous as first time dog owners leaving our puppy alone for the first time, but they took great care of him and he loved it so much I think he was sad to leave. They really care about the animals and it’s wonderful not having to worry about how our pets are when we are out of town. They have really nice facilities, great options for play time and pampering, and share photos with you of your pet during the stay.
I have found them to be very responsive when making reservations through their online system and have not had any problem making the pick up and drop off times work.

Super disappointing establishment. Would not recommend.
I tried calling to board my cat and I couldn’t get anyone on the phone, so I tried their website, which didn’t get back to me for over three days, which at that point they informed I should have contacted them sooner and they were now full. Super unprofessional and rude. I would rather take my services some where I know my cat will be taken care of.

Used their cat boarding service this week. The were very accommodating. Was able to get my cat in on short very short notice. They were friendly and professional.
My cat is not the most friendly when she has to go somewhere, but they handled it well.
The facilities are beautiful, clean and spacious. So long as she is welcome back after being less than appreciative of their kindness, we will be using them again! Thank you Bed and Biscuit!

We love this place and have used them several times over many years. They are terrific with the dogs and have been helpful with keeping an eye on certain things for us. We had one dog years ago who was very nervous and anxious and we weren’t sure how he would do there, but he loved it!
I haven’t experienced any of the issues with the owners that other reviews mentioned — on the contrary I have found both owners incredibly sweet and helplful! I think they really love the dogs, which is the most important thing.

We have been using the Bed and Biscuit multiple times a year, since 2009, without problem and with great satisfaction. This is a husband and wife team, and they really care about animals (to the point that they donate their space and time for Cayuga Dog Rescue fosters). To the other reviewer complaining about pickup hours and extra fees, this is all posted on their website and is actually a good policy to reduce stress for kennel dogs when cars come and go.
I don’t take kenneling our dog lightly, and I have complete trust in the Bed and Biscuit. Of all the kennels I’ve used, this one is my favorite and the only one I can leave my dog at without wondering «is she okay?»

Avoid at all costs. This place is a nightmare. The owners have no regard for their customers satisfaction. Pick up hours are very inflexible and downright hard to comply with. Also be aware of surprise charges for any pickup around the holidays or outside of their normal 1 hour pickup window. Owners tacked on an extra $ 40 because we were out of towners. Save your money and your gas and go someplace in downtown Ithica.

i boarded my cat here last week. the woman i dealt with was very friendly and professional. i was kindly surprised by her offer to call in or email to check on the status of my critter.
it turns out i was delayed a couple of days and could not pick up my pet on time but this was not a problem. when i did pick her up she was in great shape, the same woman told me how she did and what her eating habits were as my cat was one scared kitty. once i got home i noticed she had been brushed which i did not expect. overall, great experience.

This place and the people are wonderful. It’s consistently clean throughout. I left my ‘high maintenance’ dog there for 10 days and they figured out not only how to get her to eat (by moving her to a pen next to dogs that made her less nervous) but also taught her how to fetch while I was gone. She and I have conquered sit, stay, down, heal but fetch was beyond. That’s exceptional care. The fact that they foster dogs as well says quite a lot. Great, great business!

We’ve boarded our dog here twice and are happy with the kennel. There are many options for play time, walks, and treats. Gizella and Laszlo really love the dogs who stay with them. I don’t leave my dog with others lightly because I love him very much, but I do trust Bed and Biscuit to take good care of him.
