Established in 1972.

McCune and Murphy Physical Therapy, P.C. is the latest in a lineage beginning in 1972. We are the oldest private practice in the area and continue to offer the highest quality physical therapy available. We specialize in the treatment of musculoskeletal dysfunction with manual orthopedic physical therapy. This evidence informed approach combines the use of hands-​on techniques with exercise prescription to assist in the treatment of pain and dysfunction. As in other forms of medicine there are generalists and specialists. Our physical therapists are Orthopedic Clinical Specialists and Fellows of the American Academy of Orthopedic Manual Physical Therapists. We are the most experienced practice in the area! Our staff and facilities continue to grow, offering services at convenient locations in Ithaca, Dryden and Trumansburg.

Dr. McCune specializes in orthopedic manual physical therapy treatment of the spine, neck and lower extremity biomechanical dysfunction. He received his Bachelor degree in Physical Therapy from Upstate Medical University, a Master Degree of Manipulative Physiotherapy from the University of Queensland, and his Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Upstate Medical University. He is certified as an Orthopedic Clinical Specialist, a nationally certified athletic trainer, and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopedic Manual Physical Therapists.
