Quite the florist. After my girlfriend transformed to Cornell in N.Y. from CA I searched for the best place to have flowers delivered and after some search I came across Michaleens. My first order blew me away and looked better than I could have imagined and it was a good price. My second order didn’t go as planned however, I decided to upgrade the arrangement hoping it would be even more amazing this time, but unfortunately I was disappointed when I found out they had used completely different flowers because they were out of stock of the ones needed for the arrangement. I was pretty upset I simply talked to them about expressing my concern and they took care of me, providing a full refund. Everyone makes mistakes, so I am glad they were willing to take care of the issue with little hassle. I know this place is great and I know I’ll be using them for the next two years for beautiful flowers.

I went to Michaleen’s for house plants and loved the place! The man who helped me was so patient, professional and knowledgeable!!! I walked away with a few plants and will definitely be back! They have house plants, accessories, fresh flowers and even local produce, yay! The prices are not like big box stores, but the service was exceptional and to me, is worth it!

Prompt service, great looking bouquet for the amount I spent! The way the driveway is set up, you can’t really see if cars are coming so that was a tad scary. Very happy with my visit!

We used them for our wedding. The are very creative and dealt with us even though we were very picky. They were also very cost effective and found ways for our flowers to look nice without breaking our bank. One problem I had though that it seemed like they ran out of flowers when they came in for our wedding day because they were random flowers that were in there that we did not request and did not match our color scheme.

Michaleen’s did the flowers for my 8÷31÷12 wedding in Auburn, NY. We were on a very tight budget – seriously tight – and Michaleen’s was incredibly flexible and understanding with us the entire time. Not only did I feel I received patient and personable service leading up to our wedding, but the final product blew me away. My bouquet, the Bridesmaids’ bouquets, the Mothers’ bouquets, and the Grandmother corsages were absolutely GORGEOUS. Michaleen’s used the most beautiful local/​in season flowers to perfectly put together exactly what I envisioned. I couldn’t believe the arrangements we got given our small budget! While we did have one delivery snafu, the shop was very quick to fix it and even refunded me the delivery cost. I would recommend this lovely shop to brides in the area!

I used Michaleen’s for my wedding on Oct. 15, 2011, and had a wonderful experience from beginning to end. I met with an associate about 6 months before the wedding date, and she showed me pictures of bouquets they had done in the past to get an idea of the size and texture of the bouquet (i.e. a compact, clutch bouquet, or something more pouffy), and we went over the color scheme and the types of flowers that would be appropriate for the color and texture that I wanted. At the end of the visit we had outlined all the bouquets, bouttonieres, centerpieces, and arbor decoration, and I received an invoice by email shortly thereafter. We paid a deposit after our first meeting to secure the date, and they were fine with us paying them the day of the wedding when they delivered the flowers.
A few days before the wedding, we realized that we needed to completely change our vision: instead of getting married under an arbor, for which we’d ordered massive floral arrangements to decorate it, we needed to move everything inside. Michaleen’s explained that simply moving the outdoor arrangements inside wasn’t a viable option, but they gave it some thought and came up with something equally nice.
I was upstairs getting ready when they arrived; when I came downstairs, I saw they had put the flower arrangements exactly where I wanted them, and the boutonnieres and bouquets were in a box. I think this is how it is usually done, but this arrangement might not work for everyone. I did have to distribute the boutonnieres to the guys, since they hadn’t a clue what to do. But once everyone had their respective boutonnière, bouquet, or corsage, they were spot-​on — exactly the color tones I was envisioning.
For the centerpieces, we wanted to do «random» floral arrangements at each table, so that no table would be exactly alike. We described the the color scheme to the associate we worked with (I forget her name) and she suggested some flowers and plants that would work with our theme. So, I really didn’t know quite what to expect on the big day, but they did a great job. They used shallow glass bowls to hold the flowers (we wanted them to be low so people could see each other), and indeed, each table was different, but kept to the color scheme. We got lots of compliments on the centerpieces and the bouquets.
All in all, I’d recommend Michaleen’s for their service and attention to detail, as well as their ability to adapt to changing weather conditions (common around here!).
