Established in 2000.

Located in the heart of Downtown Ithaca, we have anchored The Commons since 2000. We started as a franchise, and through three (count ‘em) name changes, what has remained the same is our commitment to this community and our customers.

As an independent retail shipping store, we offer professional packing and shipping services in a distinctly personal way, taking the time to understand the needs and wishes of our customers.

Business Owner

As the owner of this packing and shipping business on The Commons, it didn’t take long for me to figure out that I had found really meaningful work as owner of a small packing and shipping business. Some of my first customers brought items to ship that were not just «things», but very meaningful items that were a significant part of their lives. I realized that I was taking responsibility for the security of a family heirloom, the product of long hours of work, or carefully chosen gift. We help them figure out how to keep their important things safe and secure, and to get where they are going in a timely manner. Sometimes the responsibility is daunting (when the item is truly irreplaceable), and sometimes it is more routine. No matter what, it is at the true heart of what we do on a daily basis.

Sometimes I like to say that my business is a bit like «Cheers». A place where everybody knows your name. Where friendships extend across the counter.
