We take pride in our food and only use the freshest ingredients because let’s face it, it just tastes better that way!

History

Established in 2012.

My name is Candace Rice. I grew up in a household that was always about food! What’s for lunch? Dinner? Snack? My mother is east Indian, so I was raised eating Indian food and growing up on the central coast. We always had fresh fish. Actually fresh everything! I started out working at Quiznos! Then onto a catering company where I would wash dishes and help serve. Then the chef took me under her wing and taught me everything she knew. Different cuisines such as German, italian, chinese, african, french and of coarse good BBQ. I ended up after 1 year being her right hand sous chef.

Family problems arose and ended up having to move to the central valley. That didn’t stop me from cooking though! I got a call from my aunt in Cheyenne wyoming. She wanted to open up a BBQ catering business. I went out there helped her out for a year and now to this day it is a extremely successful business. So successful she only works 4 gigs a year! Moved back to Visalia and started my business!

I am a very friendly person. I am always making people around me laugh. I love to watch people as they eat my food. Big smiles and mmmmmm noises! That’s the best!

I believe food brings people together. When I was young dinner was a time where we all sat at the table and talked about our day. Ate, drank and laughed. I think we all need to be doing this more. Shut off the TV. The phones. The devices and just talk and eat. Even if it’s a grilled cheese sandwich. :)
