Buddies in Motion, provides the 0 – 21 year old population Physical Therapy treatment, there is also other activities to keep the children engaged and away from television and video games like arts and crafts, Kid’s Gym, Zumba and Yoga and also «Mommy/Daddy and Me».
«Buddies in Motion Physical Therapy» has been established to provide the highest level of Physical therapy to the children with the primary goal being to assist them in reaching their full potential. The center’s unique combination of experienced Spanish bilingual therapists, multiple modalities, culturally sensitive setting significantly contributes to achieving the best functional outcomes within the most time sensitive paradigms.

I had been practicing physical therapy for thirteen years. I have been working with the pediatric population for eight years and have taken numerous continuing education classes on various topics within the pediatric field. I currently provide home care evaluation and treatments for early intervention program for children 0 – 3 years old and work as the pediatric physical therapist in a local hospital. For these past eight years I have been working in the Jackson Heights and Elmhurst areas and have seen many common problems that children in our community are struggling with. There is a rise of childhood obesity, high numbers of children walking with their toes pointing in («pigeon-toed») and/or on their tip toes. Many infants are showing torticollis or «wry-neck“and/or developmental dealys (not crawling, walking, etc. at the appropriate age). I saw a need for a skilled therapist to design exercise activities for the children and education programs for the parents to help the communit
