Inefficient staff, not friendly or customer oriented. They make you wait a lot because they are all over the place.
If you are patient they warm up to you and are nice. The manager gives her best though, props for that.

Service is very bad price of lenses can be more affordable. My advise is the eye doctor is very good so, go get your proscription and buy your frame else wher

The doctor on-​site is great. Friendly, personable, knowledgable and efficient.
If you have a lot of time, you’ll be fine with the pace you are serviced before and after you see the doctor. The lady who eventually helped me is nice but the atmosphere in here is what you would expect in a beach town (or the DMV): No rush, they’ll get to you when they get to you. Prepare to spend a lot of time here even if you have an appointment.

DO NOT COME HERE! i would give zero stars as well!!! I had $ 150 worth in store credit so decided i would schedule an appointment there for RX glasses. When i first went in and scheduled an appointment every one was pleasant and nice, i checked out the price range of frames and everything seemed reasonably affordable. I came on a diff day for my scheduled appointment to see the MD. The doctor was nice and friendly and i have no complaints. then, i go to pick out glasses and the girls behind the counter directed me straight to the designer section. When i saw Cheaper glasses that i liked and asked if i could get those the receptionist explained that those frames are for union workers only and that i had to chose one of the designer frames. i asked if i could get a refund because all of there options wasn’t good for me and she told me very rudely no because i already saw the MD and my insurance would not retract the visit (then she started talking in Spanish, Guess she thought i didn’t speak Spanish. i heard her telling her associate, why is she making a big deal, she just needs to choose frames and pay for it. she is so Cheap which made me feel uncomfortable and horrible). i had to buy one of their frames. upset i ended up choosing the cheapest frames i could possibly find which were $ 250 Dolce and Gabbana frames. Then she said that i would have to add anti-​scratch and glare on the lenses. in the end they argued with me regarding my store credit, and used excuses like my INS doesn’t cover Lenses or frames only the doctors fee. After the store credit was finally applied i still ended up with a $ 400 dollar bill. (i also inquired about ordering Contacts just to get their price range. she she told me it would come out to another $ 350 and she said that was deal. i called 1800contacts and got the contacts for $ 150) on top of that they said i would get my glasses in 1 week and they would call me. i called for 6 weeks and my glasses never came, i finally went to the store and they said oh we received them 2 days ago yet never received a call to pick them up. i was very unhappy but that’s not even the end of my experience. the receptionist explained to me that if ANYTHING ever happens to the glasses they would be replaced at no charge. I asked her, Anything? she said «YES anything». OK, So unfortunately my puppy got a hold of my glasses and scratched up the lenses and frames. i went back to see if the can be fixed since the receptionist said anything. they changed the staff around thank god. now this staff seemed very nice a total 10 from their last set but i still was unhappy with the results. the first associate told me i had already replaced them once which was a lie, she then forwards me to the store manager who had me waiting 1 hour for her to only tell me that she will not replace them because the damage was done by my dog and the best she can do is give me $ 25 store credit as explained on their contract that was never given to me nor did i sign. understandable, that’s how it usually is when your dog damages your property but i never received the contract that she was showing me, the last receptionist gave me wrong information, you can tell that they work off commission. the doctors are nice, their frames are pretty so expect to pay if you come here, but the staff makes this place so horrid. in the END in my opinion, DO NOT COME HERE! i will be much happier in a mom and pop Optometrist or you’ll prob be better off going to Cohen in the mall, they have way more frames to choose from… The saddest part is that i work in a hospital so i know how this stuff usually goes. PLEASE DO NOT GO HERE. You will regret it!!!

First time here and had an amazing experience. I have been to the one in queens center mall and all i can say is wow. What a difference. I used my groupon and Julio was such a great salesman. The doctor was very nice. It was clean and i was treated with kindness and professionalism. Not like queens center. Queens center staff is very rude and rushes you along. Horrible. Its worth the extra mile or two to come to jackson heights.

After I wrote about experience, a Cohens Ambassador was kind enough to contact me. They genuinely wanted to make up for my experience and internally correct the issue.

My glasses took a week longer to arrive than the date I was given. I was told someone would call me when they were ready, but no one did. The overall service was just bad.

I’ve been going to Cohen’s for my son’s glasses for a few years now. They do try and «upsell» you but I feel that is common practice at all of these places. Julio always takes care of my family. He always helps us choose nice looking and sturdy frames for my kid. I always buy the insurance since he is very rough with his glasses. Last year the frame broke and they replaced it free of charge without a hassle.

If I could give this location 0 stars I would! Just got off the phone with «Julio». First of all, I got attitude off the bat when I asked about my glasses being ready. Do not tell me something is going to be ready and then tell me it was a long weekend and everything is backed up… I could care less! Do not promise me my glasses will be ready on a certain day then! From the other reviews I can tell the sales associates here are awful. Do yourself a favor and go to the Cohen’s in Queens Center Mall or better yet another optical store that has way better prices, accepts returns, and doesn’t have crappy people who hang up the phone on you?! Julio, I hope you read this and change your ways or find another job because sales is definitely NOT for you.

This is a really worst service in this world! Don’t buy anything in this store. On June 16^th, 2013 I went to this store and brought my coupon which I ordered on website, I thought I could get a good deal here. However, the service was the worst in this world, no smiling, no greeting, very horrible! The optical technician who’s last name is Almgida, an 55−60yrs old, I would like to say is the worst worker in this world, he has such a serious discrimination attitude! How he could work for this brand company? In order to stop others waste money here, I write a short review sincerely here for your consideration. Remember, don’t go and shop around here. It’s very disgusting store in the world!!!

This place receives a higher rating, from 1 to 3 stars. The follow-​up from the Brand Ambassador and Head of Customer Service for Cohen’s Fashion Optical made up for the poor service received in person. Even though there was no resolution– we kept the order as-​is and the glasses were not ready on the date promised– it is good to know that Cohen’s cares about their customers.
The doctor still gets kudos for great service from the start!

People behind the counter weren’t great, but the doctor did a good job and I was overall happy with my experience. If the people could just be a little bit nicer and more helpful I would not hesitate to return.

Well I order glasses and had an eye exam here on 7÷8÷2012 and the Optometrist was awesome, she knew the doctor who wrote my glasses Rx since she went to the college. I ordered Raybans with the Anti Reflective and Scratch resistant coating that’s actually embedded in the glass, and I’m impressed, not a speck of dirt or smudges yet, I haven’t even had to wipe these things once. The frames are lightweight and awesome, which is what I’d expect for paying over $ 445 for them. They did however take an extremely long time to procure, I didn’t get my glasses until this Monday 8/​27, which is over 6 weeks. I had to keep calling to check in, which was really annoying. They wanted to sell me the extended protection plan which was $ 99 and pretty much a ripoff in all cases. All in all, the service isn’t so hot, and I probably won’t return.
Oh, save yourself the trouble with this one.

Avoid this place at all costs. The salespeople are money hungry and will try to scam you into paying a fortune for things you don’t need. They make up the prices as they go along and when you refuse to buy something they recommend, expect an attitude.
Terrible, terrible service from uneducated salespeople.

I had a difficult customer service experience with this outlet. It took 3 weeks to correct the issue. After many calls it worked out, so I cannot complain too much. I guess you just have to speak to the correct person.
