The music is low the ambiance is not great they have happy hour and it’s good but you have to have music for you to want more drinks and keep on drinking and invite friends to have a good time. There is a lot of competition in the area.

I am from Colombian descent and my wife is from Uruguay so I understand what the food on the menu should taste like. The food is average and not seasoned very well. Portion size is good but not a bargain and service is extremely slow. Place looks like it was updated but more to the style of a sports bar. Not a place to have a conversation or classy dinner with the obnoxiously loud music and karaōke singer on staff. This place is designed for the lonely drunk older male still trying to be cool. Stereotypes the lower levels of the Latino community but maybe it suits the locals.

Well I’ve been living in the area for many years now, A lot new restaurants are popinng up in this area, La nueva Urugualla have been there for many yrs now, used to be like the classic south American café/restaurant, I went there last night after so many years, that place looks like a «sport bar/night club/restaurant loud music playing, cant even talk to the person sitting next to you, service its kind of slow, I asked for a glass of water. they came after almost 7 minutes with a class of water, food was ok from 1 – 10 at 6 will be ok! Waited almost 40min to get the food to the table. food was getting cold already. There is a group of men hanging and drinking at the bar, they were chasing every lady at the restaurant, this guy even was asking table to table if they would like to dance with him, so loud, I was about to leave, he came to my wife and asked her out to dance, thats is really unrespecteful I just gave him a dirty look! As it seem this guy looks like he go to the bar every weekends there! Anyway. If you are looking for a quiet place to enjoy a good south American meal with your love one, no you place. and if you dont want this Dominican guy to ask you wife or date to dance with him, go somewhere else a lot places near by!

Good food but very slow service. Not a quite restaurant to enjoy your meal. Many T. V’s with people hanging at the bar drinking watching soccer making weird woohoo sounds as a goal was made or something. Some of the men at the bar kept staring at my friend and I and was a little creepy. More like a half way sports bar half way restaurant. Not a place that I would run to return to. Okay sangria I’ve had a lot better. They weren’t busy so that’s usual a sign of a business but I was willing to give them a try. Oh well… there’s many other restaurants near by for me to try.
