History

Established in 1971.

Charlie and Lucy started C&L Sweeper Service from their kitchen table in 1971. Charlie purchased a second hand sweeper from his brother-​in-​law who owned a junkyard. Lucy would answer the phones while Charlie would go around and drum up business. Charlie would begin each day on the sweeper at 3:00 AM. When the business began to grow, Charlie moved C&L to their first office in Point Pleasant, NJ. Business has grown steadily over the years. Charlie and Lucy’s son, Gabe, soon joined the family business and took over daily operations. Today, the business continues to grow and the C&L brand is stronger than ever!

Gabe was born and raised in Point Pleasant, NJ. He graduated from Arizona State University with a B.S. in Marketing. Upon completion of college, he moved to Chicago, where he met his wife, Lynn. Gabe moved back to NJ in 1988 and joined the family business. Today, he resides in Toms River with his wife and three children.
