Didn’t have the pizza but the food was fabulous
Finally stopped in on our way to lake Columbia
This place is great. Food, service, drinks and just the overall restaurants appearance
We had the pepperoni pinwheel appetizer then I had the Apple Walnut salad with chicken.
Two thumbs up and we will return

Wow, this pizza rivals my go to in Chicago which is Lou Malnati’s. The crust, layers and sauce are AWESOME!
Salads were great, the cheesy bread as well rocked.
Finished with an apple crisp that had gelato on it.
Combine the above with a great server, clean restaurant and awesome atmosphere (not too loud) and this place deserves 5 stars!

Seriously the best pizza place I’ve ever been to-​and it’s in MY hometown! I’ve been to many places in Chicago and tried all kinds of pizzas and still Klavons is the best. The owner is so great too. Justin Klavon had a day where he gave his employees 50% of the sales he made that day and he gave my cousin a holiday bonus. Great people, great alcohol, great pizza, great vibes!!!

Excellent deep dish pizza (for Michigan). Also, the salads are fantastic and the atmosphere is second to none. An absolute must stop if you are passing through the area, visiting a prisoner, or just plain hungry (or not hungry, just a glutton).

Amazing restaurant! Pretty neat too — their menus are on ipads. Make sure to get the cheese bread for the appetizer — really good! And their caesar salad is amazing too! I definitely suggest eating here.

The Pizza Margherita is always on my mind. I’ve recommended it to anyone who even mentions pizza to me. Klavon’s pizza never disappoints.

Great beer and awesome pizza. The place is fun and not super noisy like other bars where you cannot talk. The TVs are placed everywhere and make you feel welcome. The servers are good and I would surely return again.
PS: Do try their buffalo chicken pizza!

Have since had a burger and sandwich — delish. The fries are the best I’ve had (other than McDonalds — but I’m convinced those are laden with a controlled substance so they don’t count). Also, the stuffed pepper soup is amazing. The lobster bisque is just ok, and that’s the worst thing I have to say abut this place. Also, the staff is always happy, knowledgeable, and prompt. Having worked in a very expensive fine dining establishment before, I can say they’ve got the right idea about everything from the food and employees to the ambiance. I will choose this place over just about any sports bar/​pizzeria I’ve ever been to, but certainly over any in the mid Michigan area.

I have to add that their calzones are excellent as well. I went for lunch with a very large party and our food was served in very short order and everything was delicious! I was very impressed by how quickly we were served with a full restaurant. Our party was nearly 20 people and we were in and out in no time.

Best pizza I have had in a long time! We are new to the area and I always noticed the lot was full– now I know why! Our waiter Brian was top shelf — gets at food and service both. Fresh coffee was made just for my wife and brother– doesn’t get any more service oriented than that. We will be back.

Pizza was good, probably best deep dish this side of Chicago! BUT something as simple as salad dressing, they need a basic olive oil and balsamic… Water tastes horrible so have a BEER!

I love pizza. Pizza makes me happy. This? This pizza made me chuckle like a school kid. Why in the name of all that is good did I never hear about this place before?
I don’t have one negative thing to say about Klavons!
A little off the beaten path, so to speak, so when we arrived I was surprised to see the parking lot packed. I was even more surprised when we walked inside and got a look at the place. A beautiful interior that was clean and full of action.
We sat at the bar since some space opened up, which helped us avoid the 45 minute wait that was predicted. Not sure if it would have been that long, but be prepared. (Hint: It’ll be worth it!)
The bartenders were fun and knew their stuff. They had lots of suggestions and were really on top of things. When they handed me the electronic menu I was truly impressed. Never seen or used one of them before, but it was pretty fun. Pictures of everything we were interested in, so we had a preview of sorts.
Started with the bacon cheese bread and it was delightful. Hot, soft, tasty… Pick the positive descriptor and it’ll likely fit. Great stuff!
Also had the Meaty Meat stuffed pizza, and the only way to say it is, ridiculous! Easily one of the best pizzas I’ve ever eaten.
Well worth the drive, the wait and a return trip in the near future!

Loooove this place. Amazing food and great service. Had stuffed pizza which wasn’t my favorite just because I’m not a big fan of that much pizza sauce but I understood you can customize it the way you like it. Yummy burgers. Just a great place all together.
***May i just say that having a TV at the booth is just genius if you come with kids: D

Mlive says this place is #9 on the list of top 10 pizza places in Michigan. Mind blowing pizza and desserts. Good thing I don’t live closer. I’d be 800 lbs. best pizza around in my opinion. My buddy Andy goes there all the time. Great family spot. A little pricy but well worth it.

Klavon’s is serious about pizza. Being a Chicago guy visiting Jackson MI my expectations were not high. Michigan is definitely not known for it’s world class pizza. Klavon’s is a warm and inviting atmosphere with many large screen tvs and a smaller screen at each booth. Each booth has controls for channel and volume for its television. The menu is on tablets (similar to an iPad). I thought it was a nice gimmick, but when looking over the menu I really liked that when you tap on any item a beautiful photo of that dish is displayed.
The main attraction is the «Chicago Style» pizza. Now, I love Chicago pizza — but this is not Chicago style pizza. Just putting the sauce on top doesn’t make it. HOWEVER, this stuffed non-​Chicago pizza is outstanding. Fresh ingredients, beautifully presented and certainly a unique pie. A truly great pizza in Michigan. Klavons is worth a visit, worth a drive from Ann Arbor or Lansing and worth going back again and again!

The pizza is some of the best I’ve ever had (and I have had a lot of pizza). They don’t just have Chicago-​style — they have «normal» pizza as well. Their burgers and salads are always good and well-​crafted also. Highly recommended!

Our second night in Jackson, Michigan, and after a very long day with my client, I was ready to just kick back with a beer and something tasty for dinner. The locals at our client’s office told us that we had to go try a stuffed pizza from Klavon’s, and by coincidence I received a rave review about Klavon’s from Kelleigh M. back in Tampa. Kelleigh’s hubby, Patrick, is from Jackson and he and his family gave this place two thumbs up. The front desk at the Fairfield Inn had a $ 5 coupon for the restaurant, and so that sealed the deal for us.
Klavon’s is located on the end of a strip mall along Clinton Way (Hwy 50), just off of Rte. 127. According to the story on the back of the menu, this is the first of two Klavon’s pizzerias located in Jackson, and it features 17 tables, a dozen booths, and 30 high-​definition TV screens showing every single sporting event. You’ll spy the hostess station and the bar as you first walk in the door, and then turn to your right to find the tables and booths. In addition to the big-​screens all around the walls, your booth has it’s very own 12″ TV embedded in the wall, and you can control the channel selection and volume. Perfect for watching football, or catching up on ESPN highlights.
The menu is a lighted iTablet, and it was very easy to flip through the various choices and look at pictures of each selection. There was plenty to choose from, so it took us a few minutes to scroll through the options.
The menu has a nice selection of bar appetizers, soups, salads, signature sandwiches, calzones, wraps, and burgers. We were there for pizza, and had to decide between hand tossed or thin-​crust, or… *insert dramatic music here* … Klavon’s signature Chicago-​style stuffed pizza. You choose from five of your favorite toppings, then add one full pound of mozzarella cheese and stuff it all between two layers of freshly-​made dough and cover it with steaming hot pizza sauce. It takes a few extra minutes compared to the average pizza, but it’s well worth the wait.
We opted for a 12″ medium stuffed pizza with pepperoni, sausage, green peppers, onions, and mushrooms for our fillings. The normal price was $ 20.99, but with our coupon from the hotel the entire meal was just over $ 20 bucks.
When the pizza arrived at our table it was steaming hot and about 3″ thick. This is definitely a knife and fork kinda meal, since there’s no folding this pizza in half. You definitely tasted all of the fillings as well as the sauce, and the pizza dough was the perfect vehicle for delivering all of this yummy goodness to your mouth.
We took our time and chomped away on this very delicious pizza while comparing notes on the day’s activities. The pizza was excellent, and I highly recommend that you give this place a try if you’re ever in the Jackson, MI area.

After growing up in Chicago and living there 42 years. Finally found a good Pizza

Great pizza. Great atmosphere. We live nearby and eat here (or order take out) quite often. We’ve never received bad service. They do a great job hiring people who really enjoy their job.
I have a severe mushroom allergy and they are always very accommodating. They forgot to watch out for mushrooms one time but admitted it before we even got the pizza. They remade it and took it off our bill. Most places I’ve experienced don’t even admit they made a mistake. Klavon’s is the only place I trust to eat pizza. Great job!
