History

Established in 2012.

My husband and I have restored the 1910 Bank of Pocahontas, Missouri and created an quiet bakery and café. The original vault is still complete and now is filled with old fashioned candy. We began selling produce and baking for local farmers markets after we were married in 2008 and wanted to extend that to a year round business. My husband’s family has lived in the hills surrounding Pocahontas for over a hundred years and we value keeping tradition and history intact. We pray our little bakery and café will be a relaxing place to share a story, meet a neighbor, create a friend and have a good piece of pie or a little breakfast. The Lord has blessed us and we hope to be a blessing and share His Love with those who visit us.

Meet the Business Owner

Sharon P.

Business Owner

Grew up in the Chicago suburbs and graduated from Monmouth College. Worked for Blick Art Materials until moving to southeast Missouri to marry. Changed from a city girl in a small midwest town to a farm wife living high on a ridge in Dog Holler Missouri overlooking the hills of southern Il and Bald Knob Cross to the east. Started baking for the local farmers markets and wanted to continue doing so year round. My husband agreed to restore the 1910 Bank of Pocahontas Missouri and create a bakery and café for us. We took possession in December 2011 and opened June 12, 2012. We hope to be a blessing to all who enter our business.
