AA Auto Repair of Springfield

My husband and I continuously bring our cars here. They treat us very well and are very fairly priced! It is so nice to have a mechanic we trust!

This is by far the best mechanic in Jax. Mike is very friendly and very honest. Whenever I take my car in, he’ll diagnose the problem at no charge, recommends the most affordable alternative/​repair, and is just an all around good guy. I feel very lucky to have found this mechanic.
He’s always asking me to sell my car to him… I never know if he’s serious or not :) He’s always joking around so if you don’t have a sense of humor, don’t come. Mike’s just a funny guy.

I was driving through Jax and my car started to make funny sounds, so I pulled into AA Auto repair to have it checked out. As a woman, I always feel taken advantage of because I know nothing about cars, but this was not the case here. The owner introduced himself to me, told me they would diagnose what was wrong and fix it as soon as possible to get me back on the road. He did just that, and I was back on the road driving home in a matter of hours. Not only did he fix what was wrong and give me fair prices, but he threw in some extras for free! I cannot thank them enough, and my car is still running great! I would go back there in a heartbeat. Additionally, they also own the restaurant right next to the auto-​repair shop, and it is DELICIOUS! If you need to kill some time while getting something fixed, go there! The service and food is excellent.

Mike, the owner, likes to joke around, but he knows his stuff and he’s honest. Unlike some places we’ve tried since moving to Jax, he doesn’t try to sell you on a bunch of repairs you don’t need. Service is really quick and thorough. This is our go-​to mechanic from now on. Especially since we now live within a few blocks of the place.

I’ve been aware of AA Auto Repair for several years, but when the car started making a funny noise, I finally had an opportunity to test them out.
Mike, the owner, introduced himself as I pulled up. I told him what the problem was, or rather, what I –thought– it was, and he said he’d look at it and give me a call in an hour or so. He offered to drop me off someplace, but I told him my office was a few miles away, and I’d just catch a cab.
Sadly, the news Mike had for me was what I had feared — the engine needs to be replaced, and given the age and condition of the car, it’s just not worth it. I appreciate the fact that he didn’t try to talk me into an expensive repair. Even better, when I asked him what I owed for the diagnosis, he said «no charge.»
The site is on the corner of 6^th and Main, and there’s sometimes a tight squeeze, which suggests that other folks like the work done here, as well.
So, now I’m on a quest for another vehicle, and I have a good idea of where I’ll take it for maintenance.
