Murphy Pipeline Contractors is a utility contractor focused on trenchless technologies for the rehabilitation of pressure pipeline systems. Established to bring the technologies of Europe to the United States, the main focus is on pre-​chlorinated pipe bursting and Swagelining. Pre-​chlorinated pipe bursting is ideal for 2-​inch through 16-​inch water distribution replacement in residential neighborhoods. Swagelining is an HDPE pipe lining method ideal for 16-​inch through 60-​inch water transmission and sewer force main renewal, and for 4-​inch through 16-​inch mining, oil and gas pipelines.

History

Established in 1999.

The team is led by President Andy Mayer, who is a native of England and worked for British Gas at a time when they were first developing pipe bursting and Swagelining. He was instrumental in the development and advancement of both methods.
