I love to buy there because he knows everything about coloring your hair. When you buy your colors and are not sure if it is the right one he will let you know with his great knowledge in colorimetry.

I’ve been here twice and both times the owner tried to shortchange me. I thought it was an accident the first time, but when it happened again I realized that he was trying to take advantage of me. I don’t suggest coming here, unless you feel like being shortchanged. There’s another beauty supply place down the street on Centre and Forbes. If you absolutely NEED to buy something here, do yourself a favor and count your change!

I am a Brookline homeowner and I go to Beauty Masters in JP regularly. Many professional women and men go there because they do a great job and have fantastic prices. I have been going to Beauty Masters for over three years now. I see the same people there when I go. A guy with a PhD that works for a pharmaceutical company, an American Airlines flight attendant, a dentist, a VP of a bank and a women who owns several restaurants in Boston. I know the owner fairly well and I find it hard to believe that he treated the person that made those comments in such a manner. The only negative I can say is that the store could be updated, but I really do not care. The store is fine for me. I would rather pay less than pay more and be in some fancy place.

I went to Beauty Masters a few days ago, in search of a professional hair-care product. The owner of the store followed my partner and I around, but I ignored him, and found what I was looking for, arranged in several rows, organized by product-strength. I purchased the item, and the owner tried to short-change me $ 5, till I called him out on it and he handed it over. When I took the item out of the bag a day or two later, I realized it was the wrong strength, and had been mistakenly placed in the wrong section. I went back to the store to exchange it, never opening it. The store owner gave me some BS about not being able to accept exchanges on liquids«by law.» Ok, so, maybe you’re not sure if I’ve mixed some anthrax into this shampoo and don’t want to risk exposing your customers, fair-enough. So, he should then accept a return on the product, give me money back, and allow me to purchase the item I had intended to buy in the first place, right? Wrong. He refused again, claiming the law wouldn’t allow him. What nonsense«the law» doesn’t require you to put returned items back on store-shelves, buddy. That’s your choice, and a poor customer service one at that. I am stuck with this product I can’t use now, and will never go back to Beauty Masters again!
