Imagine Jamaica Kids is an onsite, state of the art facility located in the Joseph A. Addabo Federal Building serving children 2 months to 5 years of employees of the Social Security Administration, other federal agencies and the surrounding community. The center has five recently renovated classrooms, full kitchen, library/​literacy area and playground. In Fall 2012 we became a Universal Pre-​K program for four year olds, offering 2.5 hours of funded instruction focused on Kindergarten prep aligned with the New York State Core Learning Standards. Since 2012 we have been contracted with the New York City Department of Education as a Universal Pre-​K program for four year olds, focusing instruction on Kindergarten preparation aligned with the New York State Common Core Learning Standards. For 2014 – 15 we were awarded a contract for full day UPK.
