Had the best New England clam chada ever & a spicy calamari w/calmada olives that were salty so be prepared.

It was a great choice for a casual lunch. My husband had the burger(he said it was good), and I had the fish sandwich(yummy also). The draft beer collection was interesting, as well as the wine list. We also had the crème brûlée. The background music was the Grateful Dead and Neil Young(highly appreciated). All in all, good experience.

Our server was friendly and attentive. Mussels were excellent and generous, house made pasta was delicious(and generous with the mushrooms), and the J22 burger was not large, but was very good. Fries were great. Reasonable price for Jamestown.

We were looking for a nice restaurant but not too nice. By that I mean we did not want fancy white tablecloth and a menu where everything was way too expensive. We’re very please finding the casual elegance and excellent food at J22. James town itself is a very friendly and close knit community and we observed a lot of locals meeting at the bar as well as having dinner. I ordered the fettuccine puttanesca and my guests both ordered the monkfish. The Posto was freshly made in the puttanesca sauce was very good. The fish was cooked perfectly. The service was very good in the martinis were excellent.

The French fries & chowder were good. The rest of the food was lousy. We had a teaspoon size appetizer of calamari. The veggie burger was inedible. The sausage sandwich was bland. The menu was limited and the fish was too odiferous. Staff was wearing coats to stay warm… Unfortunately we all ended up feeling sick and one of us vomited.

The food was very well done and of a very high quality. The duck leg appetizer was perfectly cooked and delicious. The scallops were also great, as was the crime brûlée. The front of the house was not what you might expect from a good restaurant but the food more than made up for it. The kitchen was a bit slow so don’t expect to be in and out. I will definitely be back.

Second visit, second major malfunction, two stars. First visit, burger was v. good(well cooked) but the bun disintegrated immediately. I was told the staff used the wrong wheat — low gluten. Okay, nbd. Tonight I ordered the Braised Lamb($ 23.95). It was way over-cooked –dry, tough — actually stiff outer layer. I told the waiter and agreed that lamb is very easily over-cooked. No comp, no nothing. Don’t think I’ll be back anytime soon.

I ate at this restaurant in June and the dinner was fine. However, the charge on my credit card statement was higher than what i signed for in the restaurant. Can’t seem to find a phone number to contact them fir my credit.

Absolutely yummy pork loin. And equally excellent duck breast. Pleasant folk and ambience. A great addition to Jamestown eateries. We’ll be back — often.

I went here a couple of weeks after it opened, food was good, but service was spotty, seemed disorganized. Went back a couple of nights ago, much better experience! Food and service were outstanding. The space is not fancy, but very friendly and low key. Will definitely return.

The only thing that wasn’t over cooked was the oysters. Why ask how I like my burger and then serve me a hockey puck? Not worth the trip.

Was visiting for the weekend and through some locals heard of this new restaurant, so we decided to give it a go. When entering they were very busy, luckily there was 1 table still available so we were seated immediately. The venue is small with bar seating ~ about 10 tables. Wait staff was good and quick, unfortunately the food is what lacked IMO. The NE clam chowder is a good sized portion but bland, the crab cake(singular) was extremely salty and the burger which I was wicked excited for was almost slider sized and unremarkable(it’s not really cheap either for what you’re getting). Honestly the best parts of our meal was the beer selection & the fries which was just a side. Overall unimpressive.

Every dish we ordered was immaculately prepared and delivered. Had Rhode island clam chowder, calamari(#1) and salmon entrée. The food was incredibly fresh. Unforgettable meal.

Just tried this new place out and it was great! The atmosphere was a nice, casual, nautical feel and the staff could not have been nicer or more attentive. The farm to table menu sources 98% of their food locally from Rhode Island! We tried the Rhode Island clam chowder which was fresh, flavorful and delicious and the lobster bisque which was also great with nice chunks of lobster and not overly thick. For our meals we tried the half chicken which was over veggies and mashed potatoes with a delicious mushroom ragu, yum! We also had the pulled pork with carmelized onion sandwich on brioche with hand cut fries and homemade ketchup, another yum! It had that great local feel but with the quality food and drink you expect in a bigger city. Definitely try these guys out before it’s too busy to get in!
