First Unilocal listing I have created… YES! This rec center opened about six months ago. For those who are from the area, you may remember that this site was used for the Twin Oaks Par Three Golf Course for years. I drive by this place quite a lot. I saw the playground and got pretty excited. So I turned into the park today and noticed it was more than a playground. I saw the rec center and started doing some research. Thanks to Casey who I spoke to on the phone for more info and letting me «tour» the rec center. I am not a member of this place, so this review is more of an informative one. I felt it appropriate since the center has been open for about six months and no one had even created a listing. Griffin Center is run by Greensboro Parks and Recreation. It sports a small gym with a limited amount of equipment. Yes it is small. No, it won’t have the same amount of equipment as Planet Fitness or The Rush. They have a full rack of dumbbells, a squat rack, bench rack, and assorted equipment for each muscle group. The center also has a few treadmills, elliptical machines, and bikes. The pic on the website does a fairly good job depicting what they have. It would get crowded if a lot of people were here to workout. They do have a full size basketball court that can be used for volleyball as well. The center sports a multi purpose room that can be rented for whatever reason. The locker rooms have everything one would expect in a locker room. Information on amenities, costs, and hours: Information on classes/group stuff: This park and rec center is a great addition to Greensboro. It provides another avenue for people to get up and get moving. I like how it is located in the Adams Farm area of Greensboro/Jamestown as this side of the city has lacked a park or option like this for years.
