Perfect– what a log cabin in the woods should be. «Fancy» enough to keep me warm(i.e. central heating is important when it goes below freezing) but rustic enough to feel like a break from civilization(i.e. huge stone fireplace, coyotes howling at the full moon). No TV was fine by us. Charcoal grill, 4 burner range provide plenty to cook on. Very private and quiet, and the friendly boxer who visits once in a while provides good stick-throwing entertainment. View is great, beds were comfy.

With just four cabins, and located outside of town, it might be easy to overlook Ozark Mountain Cabins, but then you’d miss out one of the gems of the Jasper Area. Sitting on the side of the mountain, each cabin features spectacular views of the valley. With three full size beds, our cabin was just the right size for a group looking to explore the nearby river or hike in the mountains. The kitchen is fully outfitted and they even provide a grill! The only drawback is that there is no internet or TV. Of course, this might be seen as a benefit to some as it adds to the charm or being in a cabin in an area known for its outdoor activities.

Absolutely stunning!!! The view from all the cabins are really breathtaking. I had no idea I was going to get a cabin a size of a small cozy home! Some amenities that they have include a fire place(not all year round), kitchen with pots, pans, plates, oven toaster and the basic stuff you need. Oh and they have a nice grill set on the patio. Do not expect tv or internet here! It’s supposed to be a quiet and peaceful getaway. This place is definitely great if you are looking for some R & R. I like how each cabin is situated far from each other. That way, you get your own privacy. My only regret is not staying inside the cabin longer to enjoy the views. We were pretty much gone throughout the day and only back at night. For directions to this place follow the coordinates given! It’s kinda in the middle of nowhere.
