Left three messages for this company over a two day period with no return call. Even if they were so busy (!!) that they did not want my business would have appreciated a call back. After waiting to have my dryer repaired I called another professional operation, they will be out in the morning. Never again.

Never, ever calling Accardo’s again. We used to use them a lot. After 3 weeks of trying to get them to come to the house they showed up. The first few times they said they were coming at 7:45. 4 hours later we would get a phone call that they were on their way. Sorry Accardo’s. We had meetings at work and couldn’t stay for 4 hours waiting for you. Called and left a message and told you that, but I guess you don’t check your messages either. Now, you finally come and fix our gasket, only to have it fall off the same night. Called you the next morning to have you fix it again, but you can’t come and fix it until 3 days later. Inexcusable.
Now I have to call another appliance repair place to have them fix it. I should make Accardo’s pay for the food lost in the freezer.

These guys were prompt and very friendly! The guy who came out was such a great sport about the nasty water and the price wasn’t horrendous.

My washing machine broke Monday afternoon. I called Accardo’s, got an appointment for Tuesday morning, and now it’s fixed. It wasn’t cheap, but it sure was fast. The repairman called when he was on his way (8:25 am) and had the machine fixed by 8:45 am. No joke. Definitely a thumbs-​up.

My washing machine broke, so I came to Unilocal and found Accardo’s. They came out when they said they would, were super nice and very reasonably priced. All repairs and pricing were explained upfront. How refreshing! Plus, I now have a fully functional washing machine.

I have a pretty terrible landlord and he has pretty terrible appliances. Our dryer recently konked out. I called Accardo’s, who promptly answered and scheduled an appointment for the same day (AWESOME!). The serviceman called me earlier than expected and asked if it would inconvenience me for him to come by earlier. It wasn’t, so he said he’d come by. I spoke to him on the phone for a minute about the machine, and he seemed very knowedgeable, and pretty much diagnosed my problem over the phone. Apparently the dryer’s motor had gone out. He gave me an estimate over the phone, about how long the turn around time would be, and how much the labor would be. He asked if I’d like to proceed with the diagnosis, and I said yes, as I didn’t want my landlord thinking I was making the numbers up.
I called my landlord, who said it was too much, and asked me to cancel the service call to avoid the fee. I called the serviceman back to explain to him what my landlord had said. I was on the phone with him JUST as he pulled up to my apartment. I explained that I was so sorry to inconvenience him, but he told me he’d much rather not charge me for a diagnosis, and they aim to keep their customers happy.
All in all, the serviceman offered me his candid opinion of what was wrong with my dryer, no questions asked, and no diagnosis needed. He’s not going to get paid for his help, but I will definitely use them again when anything breaks!

I called and spoke to a lady to get my fridge fixed. Said she’d call me back to schedule, but I never heard from anyone.

After being ignored by my previous appliance repair company, I called Accardo after reading Jean-Paul’s review. They came out the next day to check the same stupid washing machine. The tech was young but seemed knowledgeable and discovered a couple of minor issues that could have caused the problem. Yay, right? Not so fast.
Couple of weeks later the washer conks out again. This time (after some scheduling confusion… I think the person who handles calls in the office was having a bad day) the senior person comes out and does a LOT of looking. Turns out the washer has a bad seal and it is shorting out the electronics in the washer. Great. Amount to replace the 3 broken bits? More than the washer cost in 2006. So a new one will be purchased, he even gave us recommendations on models that are workhorses.

Many moons ago a dryer stopped working at a rental I manage, and the rest is history. I employ Accardo’s when something is amiss with an appliance, and they’ve never let me down. Washers, dryers, ovens, and on.
Today a tenant smelled off gassing from a wall oven. Accardo’s came out when they said they would, and it doesn’t cost an arm and a leg.
It’s a local business, their techs are courteous and knowledgable, and they warranty their work. Beat that!
