Hidden Gem! My husband and I road travel a lot and have stayed in many Bed and Breakfasts. This is by far the best we have experienced. We stayed 3 nights over a weekend. The service was perfect! The rooms are traditionally what a Historical B&B should be and then some. This place goes above and beyond. It is the little touches here that make all the difference from the towel swans to the poetry quotes on the wall, quality linens, comfortable beds, turn down service, filtered water for your coffee. The fresh made cookies available 24hrs to accomodate the midnight snack attack. They have thought of EVERYTHING! We felt welcome from the moment we arrived. You are left in peace to enjoy your room and the wrap araound porch and porch swing but you know that anyything you need is made available to you. The breakfast was faulous on each morning. I would call this gourmet breakfast food. The raspberry soup was amazing. Banana stuffed french toast with pecan crust, Southwest breakfast Soufflé… I could go on but it’s making me Hungry and wanting to return! If you want to venture out and explore the piney wooded area of Texas this is the place to stay!
