Fox Haven Learning Center offers venue space on our beautiful farm for day long and longer retreats, meetings, speakers, weddings, weekend and week-​long getaways. We offer workshops for adults and children centering around care for the environment, exploring the natural world, organic gardening, edible landscapes, permaculture farming, health & wellness, and the arts. People may choose from our Learning Center, three restored farmhouses, our big red barn, and yurt for their business and personal needs. Whatever your needs, we have a venue that you will love.

History

Established in 1997.

Fox Haven Farm, an organic working farm, began in earnest in 1997. The farm sells organic produce and organic hay to local businesses. The Fox Haven Learning Center began offering workshops in 2008, but gained momentum in this area and in venue rentals in 2012 when a full time director was hired and the learning center building was completed. The farm and learning center mission is to practice environmental stewardship, protect the Catoctin watershed, to teach others the myriad of ways we can live and work to save the land that sustains us, to offer people opportunities to reconnect with nature and the land, and to model local solutions to global problems.

Manager

JoAnn Coates-​Hunter has been an educator and administrator with a deep commitment to the environment for over 25 years. She leads workshops for adults and children, enjoys coaching and encouraging people of all ages, and adores leading young and old towards a healthy connection with nature. She shares her passion for life with her husband, two older children, her extended kin network, and wonderful friends!
