Had breakfast here a few day ago and was very disappointed. The coffee was disgusting, the french toast was terrible, and even the bacon tasted funny. I won’t be back.

The food is good. Make no mistake about that. The workers are very friendly as well. However, regardless if they are busy or slow, you aren’t getting out of there in less than a full hour. If you can call ahead 45 minutes beforehand, pickup would be a good option. I only go on occasional Saturdays when I have nowhere to be and I still get irritated with how slow they are. I have been where we were literally the only table of customers in there and it still took 45 minutes to order and receive the food.

great place for breakfast or lunch. this restaurant is very clean and the food was super i have eaten there two times once for lunch and once for breakfast both meals were very good and cooked exactly the way i asked. service was great and my server betty was very polite. i will be going back.

We have ate here for lunch 3 or 4 times so far since moving to the area. The daily specials are $ 5.95-$ 6.95 for you standard meat and 2 vegetable meals, with roll or cornbread. The food is fabulous. The fried pork chops are the best I have ever had. They also have homemade pies. We tried the peanut butter, key lime, and pecan. They were all amazing. Service good. Great local diner. We will keep coming back.

The Jefferson House Restaurant had their ribbon cutting today (9÷16÷13). Lots of people from the Chamber of Commerce there and the Mayor and City Manager from the City of Jefferson were there as well. Julie and Todd Miavitz are experienced restaurant owners and have started out well. Their $ 5 Hamburgers on Monday offer is great! Go by and sample their food. You will come back again.

Any true foodie will avoid this restaurant.
Calling the food here «awful» would be a compliment. Nothing tastes fresh but from a can. The grilled cheese is thin and puny, made with cheap white bread and maybe one slice of generic American cheese. The fried chicken was more grease than chicken. Mashed potatoes are clearly made from flakes. I would rather eat at a fast food restaurant for half the cost, and I really dislike fast food.

I upgraded the rating to 4 stars just based on consistency. The breakfast menu is as simple as it gets but I have yet to have a bad experience after maybe 20 meals. The lunch menu is full of southern favorites from fried chicken to mac and cheese to local veggies. No complaints from me. Give them a shot!
