As a freelance sign artist I offer personalized service to meet your signage needs. For your boat, van, truck and trailer lettering/​graphics, I allow you to participate in the design process, or I’ll take information needed to be transmitted to the public and design something for you. I also create storefront signage customized and appropriate to your store & representative or your store’s personality and products. I can hand letter, and offer real gold leaf having using old school methods. Bertrand Signs offers exterior and interior wall painting, stucco and/​or corrugated metal warehouse wall lettering, banners, windows, magnetics, hand carved-​routed-​sandblasted «artsy» signs, carousel horse and food concession design and decoration, real estate and construction signs, logo design, business cards, antique sign restoration. Vinyl and hand lettering, computer graphics. Bertrand Signs is quality minded, affordable and friendly.

Business Owner

Julie started making signs at 19 yrs of age in 1978 with Jadco Signs and Barricades in Jupiter. In 1981 she apprenticed with RB Signs in Stuart for 2 yrs, then opened Julie Signs in Jensen Beach in 1982. In 1988 she moved to upstate NY where she spent 2 yrs as a journeyman with Designer Signs. She returned to Jensen Beach in 1991 making signs again locally while wintering in FL and summering in NY and finally founded Bertrand Signs in 1993. She has attended industry conventions, «Letterhead» meets, where she recieved hands on training and instruction from industry leaders, Rick Glawson’s 10th annual «California Conclave» gold leaf workshop in 1995 in Long Beach, and has worked with one of the world’s leading sign artists Gary Anderson and others such as Mark Oatis, and William Pickett at several annual «Walldog» mural painting meets around the country. In addition to her shop work, she also subcontracted with Deggeller Attractions working under resident artist Michael Saint for 15 yrs.
