Active Kidz Long Island

Staff was extremely inpatient and rushed my party. I was told it will only be my party when laser tagging but we got stuck with random people when I got there. Also, I was told that the place closed at 4:30 PM but the staff began asking my party and I to leave at 4:05 PM. Place is great but the staff is rude, inpatient and appears to make up their own rules.

This review was completely true.
When the power went out and made it impossible to hold my party, they tried to stick me with the price of the food by saying I was «canceling the party.»

We had our daughter 5^th Birthday party here on Sat. The facility is nice and they do have a variety of activities for you to chose from to add onto your package. I highly recommend that you add on the additional 30 mins to your party so that you can have more time to enjoy the party without being rushed. This additional time is $ 100 and only gets you 30 additional minutes. If you want to add another attraction to the party for that additional time slot that will cost you another $ 100 or more depending on what you add. If you don’t want to add another attraction you can add that time onto the activities that you already have.
I misunderstood the part in regards to a private party when I inquired about it during my tour. I thought when I was told yes it was like Bounce U, Kazaam etc places we’ve had parties at in the past and we were the only party going on at the time. I realized that wasn’t so when I saw three kids coming to the maze during my daughter’s party but I guess they realized that they couldn’t go back in and they went back to their party. The staff was very nice, the experience was great the kids enjoyed themselves and I would’ve gave them five stars but the face painting wasn’t the greatest. The other parents complained about the artwork. It seemed like the paint never dried. The kids got their face painted artwork was dripping after the completion as they returned back to the maze, they got paint on their clothes and it was messy. I’ve never experienced that with face painting before. So that would be one thing that I wouldn’t recommend adding to the party.
Although I put this in my review, I would go back again. I just had to be honest about my experience.
Overall Active Kidz is an amazing facility.

I just had my daughter’s 2^nd birthday party here. It was so much fun. She had a blast and we had a blast too. I had kids ranging from few month old to 11 yr old and they all had so much fun. I had the toddler center, the adventure maze and inflatable fun zone. The only thing i recommend is extending the time for each activity which i did so it was perfect!!! The party package only provides half and hour for each activity and eating so i extended it. I’m glad i did because it wasn’t rushed and half and hour for playtime in each was too little. The food i catered in for the adults was delicious. The two teenagers we had helping out did such a good job! I recommend this place for parties. My daughter had a blast and all the kids and parents had a blast!!!

Good chicken pizza

We’ve had my son’s birthday parties at Active Kids for the last 3 years. If they were anything less than outstanding, my husband and I would not return there. I love the fact that it is a local family run and owned business. The owners are extremely attentive to our needs and the needs of the children at all times. The staff is and has always been extremely attentive to the children and their needs, this year we did an all boys party for the first time and the staff, young guys just made every single activity fun and enjoyable for them. The parents and the children who attend the parties are always blown away by the staff and how organized, and fun they make it for the children. This year, the kids left sweating due to the nonstop fun filled activities planned for our guests. A great big thank you to Active Kidz for making my son’s 8^th, 9^th, and 10^th birthday amazing!

We had our kids 6^th birthday party there. The staff was great. We had two teenagers helping out with the party. They were very attentive to the kids, not just looking at their phones waiting to leave or something.
The place was very clean. I was very impressed with the staff KNOWING that if they have gloves on and handling the pizza that if they had to go in their pocket for their phones they took their gloves off. I’ve been to delis where they would handle the food with the gloves and then keep the gloves on while ringing the register. Umm… defeats the whole purpose. Anyway, well trained staff, thinking back I didn’t tip the boys enough.

Everything was Ok. My daughter had a lazer nice tag party, with the only exception that they forgot to display the 50 balloons I bought for party room. They did manage to give them away the balloons as the kids were leaving but I notice that is was worn and dingy looking, obviously they must have used them at another party then realized their mistake. Beside the issue with the balloons the kids had a good time.

We had a party for an 8 year old there. The party turned out OK (I would say even better than OK), there were no issues (the owners were present on the premises). I was concerned about the fact that there are several parties going on at the same time but it was absolutely fine, the place didn’t feel crammed, although I believe, it was booked up to capacity. When I visited the place to book it, the staff wasn’t too helpful, but at the party itself, the staff was excellent. Overall, it was a pleasant experience, I would recommend it to other people and possibly do another party there. Their party favors are nothing special, so we did our own, but the staff was very helpful in bringing presents to the car, handing out favors, etc. I saw other reviewers saying that the place was not very clean, I completely disagree — it was very clean.

If you are interested in having your party at active kidz you will be making a good choice this past weekend I had my twins party there and it was great the owners were there and they were great the employees were excellent the were great with the kids the place was very clean and I was greeted as soon I was there they were very well prepared so if you are thinking of having a party there go check it out and you won’t be disappointed thank you active kidz for making my twins party a great experience they loved it Also my daughter was not wanting to participate but they went out of there way to make her enjoy her party she then came out of her shell and had a awesome time !!!
