We got a flat tire and were sitting on the side of the road waiting for our roadside assistance. While trying to figure out where to get a tire from we called Goodyear. Walt answered the phone and was extremely helpful and let us know that they had the tire in stock and were open until 4. When we arrived Walt was extremely kind and even told us about a warranty we could purchase in the future. Our tire was replaced and we were back on the road in an hour.

I came here for an oil change. My experience took an hour and a half. Staff was very UNfriendly. On top of that they were practically forcing me into changing all these things in my car that were unnecessary at the same time

Complete utter crooks. Every oil change was 500 bucks for this or that. These guys are just crooks out to make unnecessary repairs for profit. Do not go here.

Unfortunately, I have left this place completely disappointed due to poor customer service manners from certain employees. I have no problem when a mechanic suggests or recommends certain services, however, I do have a difficulty accepting an interaction when the employee’s tone of voice sounds angry and condescending. The employee can certainly feel upset if the customer declines services, but the employee can respect the customer’s decision as it is ultimately up to the customer to decide what he/​she wants done to his/​her car. I give it two stars because some of the employees can be helpful and demonstrate decent customer service. However, there are a few whom I have no respect for, which makes me double think in terms of where I want to take my car.

I have nothing but good things to say about this place. I used to go to my car dealership to get work done, but the one I like going to is in an inconvenient location. Goodyear Jericho is in walking distance (about a mile) from the Hicksville train station and a few buses, so transportation is readily accessible if you need to be somewhere else and don’t have a ride. Being a female, sometimes it is hard to find mechanics who are not trying to BS me… Every time I come here, it is a positive experience. They are not trying to force me to buy services I don’t need, they’re efficient, and they’re excellent at customer service.

My family has been coming to this station since 1992. In that span of time we have been treated with the utmost care and respect. I am writing this review only because I had recently experienced a series of problems with my car that were very difficult to diagnose and repair. Dennis, the manager, resolved himself to steadfastly find the problem, which he ultimately did, and fix it. It took some time, but they didnt let me down (no surprise). Its no wonder this shop has been around for so long. These guys really are top notch!

This place has always left me with a bad taste. Every time I go there for service I get a flat shortly after, not insinuating anything, but it’s been a pattern. Time after time
I got my brakes done here and had the loudest grinding noise on my brakes, luckily I was under warranty and got the problem fixed at different location (Goodyear). I was told they failed to put a piece back on my brakes. I can understand making a mistake, but failing to put the backing piece on my brakes and putting my life in jeopardy is absolutely unacceptable, and poor business practice.
The customer service is also lacking. If I could give no stars I would. Especially considering the price I was charged for such shoddy work

Service isn’t just slow, its nonexistent. I was told changing a tire on my lunch break would take 45 minutes, its already taking an hour. I stood at the front desk while a man was on hold on the phone and another gentleman was helping a woman. For 10 minutes two men did not even say «we’ll be with you in a moment »
This place tries to up sell you the alignment. I literally had one 4 days ago, but «things look pretty out of whack!». Right. Right.
You cannot pay early to get out of here early. This place sucks and I will be finding a new place to get my tires changed.

We’ve had really good experiences with these guys. They are pretty nice and they have treated my wife very well in the past. They repaired a tire and because of the heat the glue didn’t bond well. When the tire went flat they prioritized the problem and fixed it right away. They gave us a good deal on a set of all weather tires on a very snowy day. Extremely helpful and they were honest about the time.

So I got a flat tire, ordered a new one from the internet and needed to get it mounted and balanced on a Sunday. The garage I usually use along with most places were closed so I called around and found Goodyear open. I told them on the phone what I needed, I would bring them a rim and tire off the vehicle along with a new tire they just have to mount and balance it for me.
I arrived and the counterman was very friendly. He gave me a discount I didn’t ask for because the wheel was already off the vehicle. I think it took them about an hour to do it. Not bad because I went over to Sears and the mall and didn’t make it back for a few hours anyway.
I had my laugh of the day when I went to pick up the wheel and a clueless man was in front of me in line. He was arguing with the counterman because he did not want his new tires balanced. Apparently he believed it was some kind of scam.

The people in this place must be paid by commission, because they just aren’t being honest. Most of the reviews here are 1 star and for good reason. I went there a few years ago for some minor service. I was in the waiting area and there was a woman waiting there for her car to be worked on. I don’t know exactly what she was having done, but the mechanic came into the room (with a fake worried look on his face) and said she needed a wheel alignment, in addition to the other work that she was already having done. She said no. The guy then went on to whine that she needed one. She said no again. Then he said that he’d knock $ 15.00 off the price. She said no. He whined and whined asking her «why not,» like a 3 year-​old child whose mommy just told him «no» to a Happy Meal. I felt sorry for her, I thought about my wife and what if that was her being badgered into a wheel alignment. So, this review isn’t really for my experience there, it’s really for anyone’s wife or mother or sister that these mechanics prey on.

A little slow, a little over-​priced. Convenient when I need an oil change in a pinch…

Woke up on a Monday morning after a wonderful weekend, walked over to my car to go to work, and saw a flat. Screw in the tire — what a way to start the week! But I’m a man, I can change my own tire, so 45 minutes later I’m driving around on my donut looking for a place to repair my flat.
First I decided to stop by the Jeep dealership, figured I could get an oil change at the same time. But there was a huge wait on the no appointment line, so I moved on. Next I drove over to Mavis tire, cause they’re only 5 minutes from work. Figured I could drop off the car and walk to work. They were closed, and open at 8. It was 7:30. So I decided to pull out the ol Iphone and see what else was around. I found Goodyear was nearby, and decided to call and see if they were open. The conversation went something like this:
Me: Hi, are you open?
Rude Guy: (sarcastically) Yeah, we’ve been open since 7…
Me: Ok, I have a flat tire, is this something you can help me with?
Rude Guy: (sarcastically) I don’t know, you’d have to bring it in so I can look at it.
Me: Ok, thanks…
So even thought I felt the guy was being a dick for no reason, I went on over just to get this taken care of. I walk in, wait for about 10 minutes before someone comes over to help, and finally get them to take a look at my tire. They say that it will be about an hour to fix it. Ok, I expected that. Go off to work, come back a few hours later, wait for another 10 minutes, pay the bill, and off I go. So yes, they did fix my flat tire, but it could have been a nicer experience. And you don’t need to be rude for no reason.

11÷10÷11 went in today to get my 2 rear tires replaced. The tires were ordered 2 days ago and came in yesterday. I can say that the staff was very helpful when it came to ordering the tires. It was also delivered really fast.
The techs were also very good. The tech that mounted my tires were careful not to damage my powder coated white wheels. The lugs were torqued by hand as I requested. They used a proper lift so to not damage my extremely low S2000. The other Tech, John who aligned my wheels was very nice. He allowed me to see what the hunter machine was reading and what the proper numbers should be. I was shown all the procedures step by step.
Then the manager, Joe A. Also gave me a slight discount. I came in at 11am and had asked if I was going to be finished by 1pm. Needless to say I was out of there by 1250.
All the documents and receipts were nicely organized for me by Tom and all in all it was a very pleasant experience. The only peeve I have would be the price. It is a bit high compared to other shops. That’s the only reason not giving them a 5.

I have been to this place a few times well and I have never had a good experience. The Manager there, I think he said his name was «Thomas Clark» was terrible, does not have the time nor patience for the customers and the next in line boss Mr. Dennis, is a typical «yes man» — this shop is poorly run.
Even if my problem was unfix-​able, the way they speak and explain things to you makes you wonder if you are dumb or from outta space.
And rest assure they will find other problems with your car for you to spend extra money, a bunch of con-​men if you ask me. They were so nice when its time to get your money and when you go back with a problem they seemed pissed and does not want to honour the warranty.
I can guarantee you one thing, my money is to good to be spent there, I will NEVER got back to Goodyear, who by the way, the warranty service on tires is another rip off.
A small synopsis: I got a new tire, bought the warranty, got a bubble on the tire a few months down the road, went back to Goodyear and still spent $ 175 dollars. Add $ 60 dollars to that and I could have bought a new tire at Sears…
First, they prorate your tire, which is never accurate and they charge you a big fee to take the lug nuts off your car, then they charm you with other miscellaneous charges and hit you with the bill. Imagine paying 40 to have your wheel nuts removed. !!!
Another incident, I live about 20 miles away from this branch, got a flat on one of my other tires, I had it plug by another tire shop as I couldn’t get to a Goodyear store close by, so I had no choice.
Now a few days later, I went to Goodyear to have a tire inspected and the same Manager saw the plug in my tire and asked me who did that crappy plug job, and I told him a tire store where I lived, he then laugh, so I ask if the warranty covers this, he says yes !!!, so I said to him, can you replug it? He said in retuen, Oh !!!, its fine, just leave it as it is, then I asked can I get a reimbursement on the plug as I have coverage on my tires, no ?, he just choose to ignore me.
Most of the guys there are so unfriendly, they are old and seems they are just buying time until retirement…
My first impression, is always the best, from the time I saw this guy face, it spelt trouble, I knew my 20-​miles journey had just got longer… wish I could get back my gas money though… lol…

6 HOURS FOR A NYS INSPECTION!!!
Absolutely horrendous experience at this place. I called and wanted to schedule an appointment for a NYS Inspection, something that usually takes about 30 min but apparently not here. They said to drop it off first thing in the morning because they were busy. I discovered quite the opposite when I arrived. Not a single mechanic was working on a vehicle when we arrived. Busy huh? I told the mechanic that we would like to drop it off and they said they would call us when it was done. Come to find out that was a huge lie. Well over two and a half hours later they had not called so we went back to inquire what was going on. They said they had not gotten to it yet because they were busy. Well their idea of busy must be eating snacks and smoking cigarettes because if that were the case they were plenty busy. Another 45 minutes and a few twinkies later and they finally begin the inspection. Then 30 min later they tell me that some mysterious part for the steering was broken even though I just had the car fixed less than 3 months ago by a good mechanic. They said that they cannot pass the inspection unless we get this part fixed and we agreed to the repairs. What else could we do? We were being held hostage by a mechanic, embarassing. They said that they would be done shortly. If by shortly you mean 2 more hours then yes. Then another hour goes by and we still have not heard anything and we inquire what is taking so long. They said that they had to go to another location to pick up the part and they would be back within the hour. Now it has been 5 hours since we dropped the car off with absolutely no information provided to us other than when we ask for a manager. Finally, 6 hours later and $ 600 poorer our car was complete. What a joke.
FYI Goodyear, mechanics make money with good service, repeat business and word of mouth, you provided none of this. You don’t keep customers with 1 time unnecessary repairs.

This place for being as big as it is is not efficient at all. They are very slow and the men that work here are not professional or well mannered. There are plenty of other places to have car service done.
I won’t be coming back and I suggest anyone reading this do the same.

Came in for oil change. They said 20 minutes.
First the bad: I sat in waiting room for an hour and 20 minutes before asking the manager. They hadn’t started. Lots of mechanics lounging around and goofing off. One guy smoking in the garage. Zero customer service. Made me feel like they were doing me a favor by agreeing to change my oil in 90 minutes. I complained to the manager and he explained that some guys are just tire guys, other guys mechanics, sometimes a simple job turns out to be complex and needs brakes or something, it’s really hard to predict timing, blah blah blah. I said what I really just needed was to have someone let me know when it would be done instead of letting me watch all of General Hospital.
The good: He could tell I wasn’t happy, so he knocked $ 15 off the oil change. Oh, and they actually did change the oil and that was done fine.
