We ordered four meals — fish, chicken and two beef plates with rice and beans. $ 40. Food trucks in Bushwick serve the same food except it’s way cheaper and doesn’t have dried rice in it. I’m sorry but I’m not coming back.

My wife and I went here after reading the good reviews and were not disappointed. We thought we were going to try another restaurant in the area the same night, so we split the chicken and potato, which came with a HUGE side of rice and black beans. The plantains were wonderful and we’ll be back for the potato salad. Friendly staff. Laid back. We walked out stuffed.

I have to agree with Ed the parking is horrible, but the food in this little hidden off road treasure is beyond fantastic indeed. Ropa Veija(called old clothes) is shredded beef in a sazon/tomato sauce that is simply to die for. The flan is creamy and delicious too! try a cuban sandwich. you wont be sorry Prices are great –you cant beat it.

Great food, great price. Formerly D Hernandez but I think they’ve got a different owner now. The only downside is that parking sucks. Located right in front of Dixon Mills Apartments, and a few blocks from me, it’s an ideal place to visit on my way home. They serve large portions. Recommend getting the beef with onions or roasted pork with rice and black beans.
