THE BEST!!! Don’t go ANYWHERE ELSE. Great service, affable staff (Armando is awesome), excellent prices. There ain’t exactly a lot of bike shope in the Hoboken/​Jersey City area, but I totally would go to this one!!!

I recently moved to the area from Texas and ended up riding on some bad roads and punctured a tire. Armando was most helpful would outfitting my bike with the proper tires, showed me some good riding routes and offered to take me around. When I test rode my bike after, it felt so much better.
While I waited for my bike, Armando recommended a Cuban restaurant nearby that I tired and liked. I may write a Unilocal review for them as well. Overall great experience, and I will be back.

I had been to Grove Street bicycles in the past and was not thrilled with the prices and service. I brought my bike in to be repaired and Armando was awesome and very courteous. My back wheel was replaced that I was called as soon as it was finished. Plus, Armando showed me everything that was repaired as well as some helpful maintenance tips. I will definitely be bringing my back in the future.

Went into James Vincent to buy my Trek Emonda ALR 6 this past summer, for several minor trips and last week for an overhaul. Service is top notch. Everyone in the shop shares your biking passion. Kudos to Armando and the other guys who work there.

Everybody over at James Vincent bicycles are great. I brought my bike in thinking I was going to have to leave it for four or five days, and the turnaround was one day. Not only that, but I never felt pressure only amazing customer service from everyone there. They really want you to come out of the shop happy. Armando and eylo (sp?) were both great and made me happy to recommend this place over and over again. Go there, you will not be dissatisfied. Thanks guys, I’ll be back.

A++ for james Vincent in Jersey City. Armando was extremely knowledgeable and was very attendant to and made great suggestions for improvements to my road bicycle. I never felt like he was trying to just get me to spend more money. Highly recommend this shop for any of your bicycle needs

Held my bike for a month with no service completed. Other local shop completed in a day. Poor communication and no apology.

They have a great knowledge of bikes, they work quickly and they are fair. I thought that I had two popped tires, but I had one and they other one was patched. They could have charged me for two, but they charged me for one.

James Vincent bicycles in Jersey City is by far the most trustworthy and the best servicing bike shop and all of the town. There are other shops in town that endeavor to take advantage of its customers but not here at James Vincent.

Awesome bike shop, everyone is very sweet and helpful. I just bought a bike last month, and although I now have one, I am not particularly bike savvy. I went there not knowing how to fix my chain that had come undone, feeling very silly after they had fixed it in a matter of seconds, they showed me how to do it my self and that I did not indeed break my new bike. I asked if they could put a kick stand on it, that took a mere two minutes, they even filled my tires. only ten bucks. lovely workers.

A car hit my bike and destroyed the back rim and messed up the brakes. I brought my bike to James Vincent and they were wonderful. They repaired my bike on the spot, and they were very friendly. After having this accident, being in an environment where the employees actually cared and were friendly meant a lot. I also bought lights for my bike and they showed me how to take them on and off and turn on/​off. The total price of all this was under $ 100 and my bike feels better than new. Best thing was I was back on my bike right away.

I purchased a tune up saving from living social and tried this place, they were very helpful and gentle with their customers, Since other bike places in jersey city are expensive for their services so i find this place reasonable.

I had a great experience here today. The manager I dealt with, Chris, was a great dude.
I went there and almost bought a used bike from them. They looked at it and tuned it up for me and everything. But then I had a change of heart and wanted to buy another used bike on craigslist in which I had already sent emails back and forth about with the owner of the bike. So I left to go buy the craigslist bike. I felt bad about the change of heart and wasting their time, but Chris was very cool about it. I wanted to give them my business, so I brought the bike back to get some work done on it. They inspected it, fixed the gear changer and also the rear break. It was only $ 10. They were out of a particular lock I wanted, so Chris loaned me a brand new one for free until they get that particular lock back in stock tomorrow.
Chris was very accommodating, helpful, friendly, honest, and did not try to upsell me or sell me unnecessary things. I will definitely give them all of my business for as long as I’m in the area, and will certainly recommend this place to all my friends. I can’t say enough good things about this shop.

I ordered my Monterey bike off of amazon and needed someone good to assemble it. I decided to bring it here and they assembled it for 50 $, much cheaper then other stores in jersey city.
I decided to buy a more comfortable seat, bottle holder, and kick stand. I checked the
prices online and the comfy seat was the same price! I even received a 10% discount.
The employees here are knowledgeable and understanding. This shop does not rob you blind similar to other bike shops in Jersey City. If I ever have bike issues I will definitely be returning to this shop

I went in for the first time a few weeks ago interested in buying a New York lock chain for my newly purchased bike that I plan on leaving at the Path (a bike that actually cost less than a Kryptonite lock itself-​lol). I would have usually traveled downtown to Grove Street Bikes because I had read some negative reviews about this place before, but James Vincent is so near my house, I decided to try it out. Dave helped me and he was totally awesome! He helped me pick out a lock that suited me best and answered the NUMEROUS questions I had. He even tried to save me some hard-​earned money by offering me different options in securing my bike. Since then, I have visited twice regarding different questions about my bike and now I have no fears about visiting James Vincent. The bike tech he has there even filled up my tires, without even asking! Dave is friendly, helpful and he doesnt try to sell you things you dont need. In a word, hes awesome, and I will be returning often!
(-1) star because they dont offer returns on the chain & lock, if I had decided it was too heavy for me, only store credit.

I had done tune up with them last year and I did bottom bracket overhaul recently. They return the bike next day and the service is very good.
The real nice thing was that they had quoted me $ 25 for a repair and as they did not have to do as much as they had expected, they charged me just $ 15. You hardly find this kind of honesty now a days.
I would highly recommend this one for repairs to others.

Great service and great prices.
This shop isn’t by any means the closest one to me but definitely worth the ride up to The Heights.
The staff was very professional and knowledgeable. I needed new handlebar tape and to have them wrapped and they had a decent selection of parts. The cost (parts+labor) was nearly a third of what I would have paid downtown. They were able to squeeze me in and get me out of there in 15 min.
The work was done professionally and I am very pleased with the results. This will be my go-​to bike shop for service here forward.

The Jersey City satellite store has a small selection of bikes and even smaller selection of cycling accouterments. Their mechanic is good and very fast, so it’s a convenient place for a tune-​up.
