Established in 1978.

… We started with a small store in Jersey Shore to serve the growing number of scuba divers in our area. We not only offered PADI (Professional Association of Diving Instructors) certified scuba courses but also a full retail facility for scuba

1984… We became the area’s first PADI 5-​Star Training Facility

1992… Sunken Treasure was awarded a PADI Five Star Instructor Development Center rating

2004…Recognized as this area’s National Geographic Dive Center

2006…STSC was recognized as an Eco Dive Center

2010…STSC received PADI Americas Project Aware International Marine Environmental Award for the Northeast United States

Rich B.

Business Owner

Rich the owner of STSC is married and has two children. Qualified to teach over twenty PADI specialties and DAN O2, you’ll always find him around the store or a local dive site in the spring, summer and fall. Diving is his Lifestyle not just a job

1979…Attended PADI International College in San Diego CA

1988…Earned the PADI Master Instructor rating

1992…Became a PADI IDC Staff Instructor

2009…Received PA Cleanways Northcentral Volunteer of the Year award

2010… Recognized by PADI for 30 years continued service as a PADI Instructor.

2011…STSC received recognition for 30 years as a PADI Training Facility and for the second year in a row the PADI Americas Project Aware International Marine Environmental Award.

2013…Sunken Treasure Scuba Center was recognized as a PADI Green Star facility add Rich Best received the SSI (Scuba School International) Platinum Pro Diver Award at the DEMA show in Orlando, FL.
