Delta Community Credit Union

Been a long time member and this is the first time I’ve been in a branch where I have had to sit and wait for over 25 minutes.
They have the place staffed with 2 people and a teller. Trying to start a car loan but I’m doubting this is a good sign.

When we moved to the area we switched to delta and felt the credit union was basic but suited our needs fine. Since then we have had multiple car loans, two checking and two savings accounts with them. We went to the branch on Tuesday to get another car loan and have had the worst customer service experience ever to the point where we will be relocating our accounts somewhere else. We have called the branch location multiple times on multiple days and each time it rolls to voicemail. Messages were left with no return calls. Cristine who is in charge of our loan seems very inexperienced. We have had much better experiences with other employees on prior loans before. She didn’t return calls, said she had all the info and then she didn’t, asked us to make calls that should have been completed by her and it has taken four days to get our loan processed where with other agents we have walked in the bank and within an hour had a check. Said they needed a bill of sale before they could even send the check to the sellers loan company. That should not happen. Also said they need to be listed as a lienholder on the bill of sale, not the title, but bill of sale. Never ever have we had to do that. My husband called the branch on the way there and it went to voicemail. When he got there, there were three employees just standing around. When he asked why he received voicemail they said they must have been busy. There was only one customer in the bank and those three were not assisting that person. At this point we are going to finish the loan process as we are set to pick it up Saturday morning but have every intention of refinancing elsewhere ASAP and closing all of our accounts. Absolutely terrible customer service. FYI, we have excellent credit and that is not any of the issue.

After a horrid experience at the Windward Suntrust, I decided it was time for a credit union. and the DCCU made me confident in my choice. From the Minute I walked in they greeted me, I sat down with a woman and she told me a little about the credit union, answered my questions, and set me up with an account. Explained all my options, came back with a debit card and free checks, and I was on my way. I really look forward to building a relationship with them and getting as far away from suntrust as I can. They have a fairly central location and pretty good hours (for a «bank») And a wonderfully friendly, concerned staff.

Being new to the great state of Georgia, and the wonderful city of Johns Creek, we were looking for information on the best place to do our banking. I posted on my Atlanta Area Mommies forum and had an overwhelming number of people recommend Delta Community Credit Union.
My husband and I decided to move from Wells Fargo to DCCU at the beginning of January. He started the process online and then we went into our local branch to finish up. We went in on a Saturday morning and were immediately greeted by warm hellos and didn’t have to wait at all to be taken into an office to be served.
Our account manager was Christina and she was as nice as could be. She immediately got our son a coloring book and crayons to keep him busy while we chatted. She was very professional, knew what she was doing, and got us in and out without any problems.
Everyone there was super nice and were very sweet with our son. Christina let him sit in her chair while she left to get some papers for us to sign, and when she came back, he wanted to sit on her lap. It was so sweet.
The initial impression with this bank was extremely positive and we think they’re wonderful. We’re so happy that we chose DCCU for our banking needs in Georgia!
