I rented the entire place a couple years ago, two houses plus four cabins for a family reunion. It was rustic to be sure, not a luxury resort, but we sure did like the place.
The owner of the cabins/​houses lives in Astoria, NY. He was super laid back. The rental process was equally laid back. No contract to sign or anything like that.
The major oddity and the reason for three stars instead of four is that you have to bring your own trash bags and toilet paper!

Nasty!!! the owner pitches that its a great place but its all dated and shaggy… not worth the trip-​the place smells, kitchen is minimal and utensils bad quality the wyhole thing is a sham. The owner is not better than a used car salesman
