We were just driving through town and The owner Tom was so gracious, helpful and took the time to help us with our bike needs

I don’t know where to start. I was given the TB phone number from a competitor of Tim, the owner. I was visiting from Utah and wanted to rent a bike. Tim had been in the rental biz for a little while but decided to get out of it. When I called him, he didn’t just sluff me off… he got curious… wanted to know my story and said «give me your number and I’ll see what I can do». Without any expectation of a return call… low and behold.15 minutes later… Tim is on the phone saying he has a bike. Hang on… it gets better!!!
I go to get the bike. It’s his nephew’s bike who is going into the military. (I’m a former Navy man myself so this was a no-​brainer). He showed me the bike… a formidable intermediate Giant Defy. All I was interested in was riding. Tim told me there was going to be a benefit ride at Saratoga on Sunday May 19^th. 50 miles… $ 25 cost. I signed up… met Tim and a bunch of his friends and followers… Everyone one of them were top-​shelf people as you would expect from cyclists. The ride was perfect… great weather and no flats! LOL
Bottom line… Tim and TB is one of the best cycle shops I’ve had the pleasure of going to. He’s totally dedicated to the sport and that is reflected in the way he handles his new and existing customers. Highly recommended by me… the Utahn… that will be back next year for the annual 50 miler.

I just brought home a bike from Tomhannock Bicycles. I live in Guilderland, a good 45 minute drive from the shop and it was very much worth the drive to buy my bike at Tim’s shop. Tim personally spent 3 hours fitting me and making sure I knew how to use every feature and made sure I was getting in and out of my clipless pedals safely before even ringing up my order. Most shops will charge extra for a personalized fitting. At Tim’s shop, the fitting is supremely important and comes with the price of the bicycle. My triathlon swim coach sent me to Tomhannock Bicycles, ensuring me that it was special and he was absolutely right. Not only am I thrilled with the bike, but I am looking forward to the group rides and getting tips from Tim. This is an amazing place. Don’t miss it.
