Air Force Board for Correction of Military Records SAF/MRBC

The SAF/​MRBR at Randolph AFB San Antonio, TX and SAF/​MRBC at Andrews AFB Washington, MD are a total joke. These agencies play yo yo on the backs of veterans by offering nothing but back and forth wasted time. Why does it take over a year for veterans to get their records reviewed? Good luck if you’re able to get a mistake or injustice corrected with these agencies. What is the background experience of these panelist? A lot of these cases require understanding and interpreting the regulations. SAF/​MRBR and SAF/​MRBC do not understand what Whistle Blower Protections are. They are unfamiliar with DOD 7050.6 and USC 10 1034 they deny cases that fit military and state regulations.
The SAF/​MRBR and SAF/​MRBC overlooks regulations and fail to find merit to rule in the favor of error or injustice. Veterans are not allowed to have their case amended after being reviewed even if the SAF/​MRBR and SAF/​MRBC failed to apply military and state regulations to the case. The veteran is required to resubmit another DD149 back to SAF/​MRBR and stand back in another lengthy waiting period. If you send them the regulation and the United States Code they will not provide a convenience to veterans who have already gone through a waiting process. They are comfortable with not assisting veterans seeking a remedy.
When someone signs up to defend the country that’s an honor and this people shouldn’t forget. Veterans are not allowed to resubmit already submitted evidence so do this mean not to resubmit the regulations not applied? Veterans need a better agency for records review. The SAF/​MRBC is unprofessional and should be inspected to make sure their complying with polices. The SAF/​MRBC sends record information to unsecured email addresses instead of securely mailing detailed material. The internet can get hacked and sensitive information can get out. They don’t even give a warning. If you give them your email to be contacted they will use it to deliver detailed private information about reviews.
SAF/​MRBC takes no responsibility for identifying personnel sending out mail. Emails and mailed out correspondence have no identity from the sender. Personnel in the SAF/​MRBC hide behind the title «Admin» or «Admin AFBCMR» Veterans have no way of identifying the sender that way. Beware an employee at SAF/​MRBC changed the body of an email and disabled regulations links to make them not functional when the regulation for DOD 7050.6 and USC 10 1034 was pointed out.
The post office at Andrews AFB was not requiring a signature for personnel picking up mail. The SAF/​MRBC was picking up mail with no hand receipt or tracking even though a signature was requested. This is how submitted records information can get lost. Veterans have suspense times for sending responses and is was unacceptable. Both offices should be legal personnel only and or be skilled with searching out regulations. They should not sit in a job and not know regulations because this hinders records from being proceeded and corrected. If they don’t know or are not sure they probably will deny a case. Maybe they will just follow along with the whatever the SAF/​MRBR says and both could be wrong. How many times does the panel meet anyway? How many veterans want a review done? We have to wait for them to meet to decide on records. You don’t need a panel to decide on a record. You just need someone who’s able to interpret regulations. What good is a panel when they fail to recognize regulations?
