Brian «Pops» Wielgus, Sr. began working in the pest control industry in 1980 when he was hired by one of the large pest control companies. After 21 years of working for others, Pops decided to branch out on his own. As such, in 2001, Pops and his son, Brian Wielgus, Jr., started D.O.A. Pest Control, Inc. The company was built with the customer in mind and was based on a strong work ethic and fair pricing. Pops instilled these values into Brian Jr., and despite the fact that Pops isn’t with us anymore, these values remain with the company.

Today, D.O.A. Pest Control continues to service both residential and commercial customers in the Chicagoland area. From some of our larger clients, such as Joliet West High School, to the smallest residential apartment, we treat each customer with the utmost respect. When we arrive on site, we will do a thorough inspection, identify the problem, take the appropriate action, and educate our customers on how to prevent problems going forward…

10 days after DOA was here to treat my Vole issue (that I tried to handle for 4 months alone) I’ve not seen one live Vole. We’ve found 2 dead voles and our dog caught a mouse that most likely found his way to the buried poison. Brian was prompt, professional and affordable. He explained the process very clearly and told me to keep him posted into the spring. Very happy I found him and very happy it appears my Vole issue could be over!

Called on a Thursday in December. Brian was at my house next morning. I actually got busy that morning and ran an errand, forgetting about my 10am appointment.
My wife was there and Brian could have worked with her and left. Well he did his job outside (field mice issues) and then told my wife that he was going to wait for me.
So…he waited in his car for 30 minutes until I got home, just to meet me and go over the details on what he did.
VERY impressive and greatly appreciated.
Quality of work was excellent as well. He put underground traps for the mice and put flags at each location.
Five star service all the way. Thank you Brian for the elite service. Very pleased customer here.

I called Brian to take care of termites in the house (not a good thing to find). I was impressed with his prompt appointment to inspect the property, his assurances that the damage wasn’t that bad (yet) and his affordable quote. The termite treatment came with a warranty that covers all inspections, work and chemicals for the next 7 years. As a courtesy he also sprayed the house for ants and bees. He worked quickly, and with consideration and using the industry gold standard (termidor) for termite elimination and treatment.
His service did not come with a hard sell yearly contract (unlike the big companies). Would recommend him to anyone looking to treat their home. Exceptional service from a locally owned business.

I had the misfortune of needing Brian’s services this spring with an influx of ants and other crawlies in the house. He was prompt and very nice. We haven’t seen a bug since!
Side note: I was terrified that he would have a truck like Dale’s Dead Bug from King of the Hill, but relax, it is a normal pick up truck. :)

These guys are Great Brian always takes care of my yard. I found them online last year and have had them out a few times once for a rat and another for flees in the yard. They erased my problem both times. They are reasonable, friendly, and do great work.
