History

Established in 1946.

Johansen & Anderson Inc. was founded in 1946 by Fred Johansen and Harold Anderson. J&A started mainly as a refrigeration contractor that repaired grocery store coolers and freezers. Not long after they started, they began to work on heating and air conditioning systems. Harold and Fred believed in quality work and taking care of the their clients which is instilled in the employees today.

Mr. Cronholm began his career at Johansen & Anderson as Assistant Controller and moved his way to become President of the company in 2000. He is involved in many Industry as well as service organizations. He was the past Chairman of the Board for the Joliet Region Chamber of Commerce and he currently is the President of the Plumbing and Mechanical Contractors Association.

Called 600 AM on Friday FOR EMERGENCY AC WORK. It was going into holiday weekend and was told tech would call after 7 am. Tech called and said Tuesday after the holiday was the best they could do. At least they were honest. My unit is 40 years old and in need of replacement this year and I want to add a power backup generating system too. This company has been eliminated from my list of possible providers. They advertise all over like they are some huge Joliet business and they can’t provide basic service calls.

Johansen and Anderson installed a furance and AC unit for me after my old furnace went out. From start to finish the customer service I received was excellent. Everyone from Johansen and Anderson was extremely nice and went out of their way to help me get my furnace isntalled ASAP as I was without heat. I quoted another company and Johansen and Anderson’s pricing blew the other company away. The installers worked all day and did a great job. I am very happy with my decision to give Johansen and Anderson my business and will definitely recommend them in the future. I couldn’t have asked for better service all around with them.
