Our goal is to help struggling students in Science and Mathematics, or students who simply want to improve their grades.

We help students discover their learning style strength (s) so that they can master content issues. We then use this foundation to guide students in applying what they know, to analyze what assessment items we are looking for, so that they build confidence in solving familiar and unfamiliar problems. Repetition of these problem solving techniques provides the final step in assisting students in reaching their academic goals.

With over 20 years of wide experience in Scientific research and over 15 years in teaching and mentoring students, from Middle school to College, at Grade Step Up we have the tools, the experience and the passion to help students succeed.

History

Established in 2010.

The President of Grade Step Up, has been actively involved in assisting students for over 20 years. His experience was initially gained as a Teaching assistant for 3 years during grad school and preparing instructional manuals for tutoring undergraduates in Biological statistics.

The range of students has included adult professional in continuing education courses in Agronomy, Post Harvest Biology and Food Safety, through Grades 6 to College in Mathematics and Science (General Science, Biology and Chemistry).

Students under Dr. Worrell’s tutelage have matriculated through the educational levels and have become successful professionals in many different fields of study, including medicine, pharmacy, engineering, accounting, environmental science, teachers, psychology and a myriad number of other professions.

Desmond W.

Business Owner

Dr. Worrell has been trained in Agricultural Science (Agronomy), Post Harvest Biology and Food Safety as well as in Teaching Secondary School Science.

He has a wide field of experience in Scientific Research and in teaching. His classroom experience has included adult students but also students at the Grade and College level. His specialties have included plant science at the University level, Biology, Chemistry and Maths at the Middle and High School levels.

A passion for learning and teaching best characterizes his approach to students and he will always seek to find ways to help students succeed that fits their learning styles and needs. He is patient as well as through and sets a high standard for his students to reach, constantly believing in their hidden potential.
