Specialties
Mathnasium is a math only learning center. We pinpoint your child’s learning needs, meet them where they are, and take them where they need to go.
Mathnasium instructors use a unique assessment process to determine exactly what each child knows and what they need to learn. Next, we design a customized learning plan for teaching the concepts the student needs to master.
Our instructors also set aside time to provide homework help. We help kids understand the homework assignment so they feel better prepared to complete the work at home — underscoring their understanding of concepts and transforming homework frustration into a welcomed challenge.
Students love coming to Mathnasium because we make math make sense! Parents love us because we provide expert math instruction at an affordable price.
History
Established in 2002.
More than forty years ago, math educator Larry Martinek was inspired to find a better way to teach children math.
He set out on a mission: to find an approach that would provide children with the strong foundation they needed to succeed. Over the next three decades, he painstakingly developed and assembled a blend of methods and materials. Instead of relying on traditional rote memorization and repetitive exercises, Larry’s work focused on helping children understand math by honing their math instincts and getting them to think like mathematicians.
Mathnasium of Fruit Cove has been helping students catch up, keep up, and get ahead in Math using the methods Larry Martinek developed. We are the math experts and work with students in 1st-12th grade. We are currently helping many local students meet their challenges and improve their math grades in Saint Johns County.
