Amazing little store with great wine great homemade hot chili wonderful candy selection great produce a little bit of everything even old souvenirs
The owner Luis saved mine and my sis life by putting chains on my wheels
I was driving out of June mountain in my car slid backwards ice but around in a tailspin I waited for my car to start up again I drove right to the store and the owner Luis put chains on my tires He didn’t even ask for an extra tip he just did it out of the kindness of his heart I will come back to June Lake O A’s and visit the general store and they will have everything I need. try the homemade turkey chili !!!

An old general store is correct!
From gear to produce to clothes to SPF they have it all!
We bought some super cute lake hats, random I know, 100% cotton for ten bucks. We wanted to look lake cute.
We needed bananas so we ran a few times when we were staying at June Lake Lodge (a few blocks down) and it’s very easy to walk around town to get here.
The first few days (especially the first) we suggest walking very slowly around town :) why? at 8,000 feet and had just came from the Bay Area then into Yosemite the altitude can really mess with you.
Grab some produce and some extra bottles of water, they even have a five gallon jug on the back shelving, and get ready to explore the area and Yosemite.
Guarantee this general store has anything you need and more!

I love this little store. The people behind the counter are super friendly and helpful. They genuinely care that you are visiting the area. The store has almost anything that you could have forgotten at home from clothing, camping and fishing supplies, food, or fresh produce. I would also say that the prices are very reasonable. Save yourself some space in the car and pick up some of your items you need here.
What did I learn today? The girl behind the counter has coupons for some of the local restaurants.

A disappointment, No deli, the produce was less fresh than in Mammoth Lakes or Bishop and they don’t give cash back after shopping but do point you to the atm that charges $ 3.00. Overall I suggest visiting a real grocery before landing in Juke Lake and bring cash as they only have over charging atms

June Lake General Store is the place to get anything you need when you’re staying in the loop. Luis (The Owner) and his family and employees are always helpful and happy to fulfill any needs you might have. The home town «General Store» feel is a pleasant throwback to the past.

June Lake General Store is a small «general» store in the small village of June Lake.
The store is stocked with essentials — beer, postcards and candy.
Seriously, the store has basics, but be prepared to pay «middle-​of-​nowhere» prices.
I like the the JLGS — 3.5 stars.

Hi! I’m a resident of June Lake. The Good: The JL General Store is clean and carries a fairly good selection. The Bad: It’s pretty pricey (due to its resort location), and they have a $ 5 min if you want to use your debit card (This is the reason I don’t go there unless absolutely necessary. They’ve probably lost more than a hundred dollars in business from me because of this stupid (IMO) policy).

They do what they can and stock what they can. If they dont have what you want then bring it with you next time you come to june lake from one of those FANCY stores in LA, SF, or where ever you came from.

You don’t have to starve in the wilderness.
This little store does very well for its remoteness. Tucked back up into the June Lake Loop, it is one of the only sources for provisions, outside of traveling down to Mammoth.
There’s a good supply of food: cereal, chips, canned soup and veggies, cheese and meat. They have a good array of camping supplies and some novelty items: postcards, t-​shirts, etc. As far as fresh foods go, they only have some bagged salads, bananas, onions and garlic.
For a small general store, they were surprisingly well-​equipped with everything we were looking for dinner. Prices were pretty high, but that’s to be expected when importing up into the mountains.
Also I found some nice old postcards from the 70s that they were getting rid of — only 10 cents a piece.
