Aycock-Riverside Funeral And Cremation

Attended a funeral recently. The funeral director was useless. There was no direction at all. Aycock was told this was going to be a large funeral. There was no organization in the parking lot, family cars were mixed in everywhere. I had to instruct family members to pull up behind the hearse myself. The church vestibule was ridiculous, no direction for the family in any way. It became a receiving line prior to the funeral until I found a courtyard for the family to wait away from the mourner’s. The so called director had no idea where the reception afterward was being held. He told the mourners to ask my nephew who arranged the funeral (called him by the wrong name to add to the confusion). It was a funeral without a wake. There was to be a picture of my brother in law on the alter, No where to be found. After the funeral, the three workers, in a group chatting, had to be told to move the procession and be reminded that it was their job to do so, not mine.
Bottom line: unprofessional, unorganized, extremely poorly directed, and worst of all, inexcusably neglectful.
Zero Stars if it were possible. Go elsewhere

Very nice funeral home. Funeral attended had lovely personal touches. Serivce was low key and good.
