Courtyard Maui Kahului Airport

Had a most awesome overnighter at the CourtYard, the employees have the most awesome customer service and they took care of me with that islander hospitality made me feel like family and I just want to say Mahalo again for everything that the Courtyard has done for me!

While the hotel was comfortable and in close proximity to the airport I can’t recommend this hotel. My family and I stayed here from 4÷1−4÷3. On the 3^rd we noticed bites on our son’s legs and arms. Then they started appearing on myself and my wife. After googling the bites we realized it was due to bed bugs. As we hadn’t stayed anywhere else the Courtyard was certainly the source in my opinion. Upon arriving back in Los Angeles I notified the hotel and advised them to investigate as they may have a potential infestation. The woman who answered assured me the cleaning staff pays close attention to this and that they had no complaints since we stayed there. She said if i had mentioned it earlier it would have been looked into. What kind of response is that?
First of all after reading about bed bugs, it’s not always apparent that they’re there. So cleaning staff can’t possibly guarantee bed bugs are not there unless it’s at the point to where there are so many the evidence is overwhelming. Second placing blame on the customer for not reporting it earlier is ridiculous. I’m in Hawaii to enjoy a vacation. When I realized what the bites were and where they came from I decided to enjoy the rest of my time in Hawaii and report it now, when I arrived back in Los Angeles. I was very polite as well, not placing blame on them, not demanding compensation, I simply wanted to let them know so another guest wouldn’t have the same experience. Apparently they don’t care enough to look into it since I reported it 9 days after the fact. Also, telling me there have been no complaints and implying that as a reason to not investigate makes no sense. If you read about bed bugs bites can take anywhere from 2 – 10 days to actually show up. Our experience will most definitely be a hint of things to come. I’d suggest Courtyard prepare for a flood of complaints.

From the moment you pull onto the property, you can tell this is a wonderful and clean hotel. The grounds are superbly maintained. The lobby area has modern décor, comfortable meeting spaces, and a café open in the mornings and evening.
My favorite part of my Marriott experience is dealing with their staff. Everyone is so friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable!
The hotel is walking distance from the airport, but if you don’t want to lug your luggage around there is also a shuttle service. Other nearby shops include Costco, Maui Coffee Roasters, and the Old Maui Mall with a movie theater and Whole Foods Market.

What a great unexpected hotel! The staff is super accommodating and friendly. The room was very clean. The pool and whirlpool outside are nice especially with the little cabanas with lawn chairs.
Shoutout to the gentlemen at the front desk who waived our parking fee for our honeymoon for one night; he gave us a card too… I thought that was so sweet ;)

Nicely done Marriot! Everything was impeccable. So clean and new. Definitely staying here again and it’s so close to the airport, Costco and Krispy Kreme.

A very busy and very quick stay at a great place. The location was close to the airport and very centralized. The staff was really helpful, attentive and considerate. Great shower pressure and an excellent mattress.

The front desk girls with there fake mustaches we so friendly and happy and hospitable Jimmy the houseman was a Aloha ambassador Love this place Hot tub was clean and inviting every morning and night Shaka

Very happy with our stay here and the convenience of location in terms of proximity to the airport. Had a great stay here with friendly service from all the employees that we encountered. Room was nice and clean. Bathroom was nice, but no tub. Luckily, we didn’t have the kids. Property itself was pretty & they had a great fire pit by the pool at night!

Needed to stay here one night before we left the island. The hotel was clean and and well put together. The price was good.
They have a sundries store as well as a bistro that does breakfast and dinner. The grounds and pool are well manicured. They have a large fire pit in the back with chairs.
You can totally consider staying here for a whole week and then just venture out to enjoy the island.

I stayed in this hotel for 2 days only. However, I can say that staff is very nice and helpful.
Rooms are very clean. Only thing I would suggest is to put some drinking water in the room. I had to buy it.
Restaurant in the hotel is very good. I orderd flat bread, which was tasty and fresh.
The plus point is shuttle service. They dropped and picked us wherever we asked them to (within 3 miles).
The only drawback is that there is not much to see around this location. Nevertheless, hotel is wonderful and would certainly recommend.

Great proximity to the airport, close by to a great local gym and shopping.
The guest treatment here is truly 5 Star your young lady Pua at the front desk handled a special business request that involved locating and pulling files then printing them in color, she performed this with great speed and accuracy, a true professional and represents the Marriott brand in a exemplary manner.
The rooms are very clean, comfortable but firm bed, work efficient desk area with many outlets for all devices. the décor is resort themed. The gym is very well equipped with the most modern equipment and is very clean.
The food in the café is delicious, very fast service and attentive staff

When you think of Maui you definitely think of picturesque beaches, cloud capped Haleakala mountains, and the surf hitting its shores while you see a romantic couple on a balcony overlooking all of this as the sunsets on their magical Hawaiian holiday… well, yeah, the Courtyard is not on a beach and sits right under the flightpath to Kahului airport, but don’t let that scare you… It’s actually really centrally located on the island, quiet (yeah, I said it was on the flight path), pretty darn nice, and very reasonable.
It’s right in the middle of Kahului which is pretty much the center of everything if you plan on heading south to Wailea, west to Lahaina or Kaanapali, or perhaps up the mountain to see the sun rise over Haleakala. Plus, your in the main part of Kahului so convenient to the local needs like Target and food.
Rooms are pretty generous and clean. They are well-​appointed with a pretty nice bed and enough outlets to power up your laptop and charge the phone. Plus there is a pretty lively lobby area right next to a decent sized pool to cool off or hang out with friends by the fire pits.

The Courtyard (CY) Maui Kahului Airport Hotel is my go-​to hotel on Maui.
The Good:
* Relatively new hotel
* Clean
* Nice, spacious room
* Decent pool with fire pit and cabanas
* (Generally) friendly staff
* Super convenient, central location
The Bad:
* It’s popularity means it’s always fairly full (though you don’t feel it)
* Full rooms means high-​rates, even higher than some full service hotels
* The Bistro is not so great
The CY is nice hotel in a very convenient location. It can be a good value, but lately the prices have been rather high. My last stay I paid $ 200/​night as a kama’aina and a Marriott Rewards Platinum Elite. I think that’s a bit high, but the property seems to always be near capacity, and it’s easy to see why.
The staff here are generally friendly, but there are some rotten apples. The property overall, because of its relatively young age, is very nice and clean. The rooms are of a good size, the a/​c works very well, water temperature and pressure are really great, and the shower and overall bathroom is a great size! The room also has lot’s of outlets, a closet, ironing board, iron, tv, desk with nice office chair, a multilevel table, a sofa, coffee maker, safe and a fridge. Wifi is free throughout the property, and as is standard with Marriott, Gold & Platinum Elites get premium tier wifi at no additional cost.
Room views can range from a view of trees with some peeks at the ocean and marshland, to a wonderful view of Haleakala (and Costco), which often includes views of Pu’unene Sugar Mill and aircraft on final into OGG.
The parking lot is nicely sized, with well spaced stalls and always sufficient for all guests. Parking is usually $ 10, but it’s usually been waived whenever I stay. The property does have a nice pool with cabanas and a fire pit, though i’ve never taken advantage of them yet. The lobby is very spacious with tons of space to sit and lounge, do work or dine. The Market next to reception has a myriad of things available for purchase, while the Bistro is the on-​site café of sorts, serving hot food and Starbucks Coffee. I’m not a fan of the Bistro, and the one time I had food from there, I wish I didn’t. Not worth the price at all and just barely edible.
Overall, though, the Courtyard Kahului Airport is a solid choice and a great stay. The price is making it hard to justify at times, though, so if the prices continue it’s upward trend, it may make more sense to stay at a nicer hotel in Kaanapali or Wailea.

I have to start by saying that I HATE to give a Marriott hotel a poor review. I stay at Marriott properties over 100 nights a year most years. With that being said, this is a very typical Courtyard. It was in good to decent shape. Standard layout etc… However, the rate is way overpriced even for Maui. My wife and I got stranded here for one night and we were put up at the hotel by United. They charged more for the room than what I paid for the full service Marriott on the beach in Wailea. If you are a Platinum member, don’t expect any special treatment. At check in the first thing that clerk told me was «since United is paying for your room, you don’t get any of your platinum amenities.» Not, «thank your for being a platinum» or anything like that. Also, at checkout I closed out my food charges using United food vouchers. They still charged my credit card for the food! When I called to correct it, the person on the phone acted put out that I was making her fix it. Not «I am really sorry for our mistake…» or again. anything nice that you would expect from them for making a mistake. For the first time ever I wished I had let United put me up at a different hotel instead of insisting that they put me up at a Marriott property.

Our flight was canceled, so we were booked here for a night.
From check in to check out, the staff was awesome! They were all so courteous, informative, and went above and beyond. There were many of us who were cranky and not happy, and they did their best at getting us checked in quickly.
The rooms were updated and typical Courtyard room. Clean and modern.

This is my second stay at a Marriott and it was just as good as the first. The people checking-​us in were very friendly and personable.
The layout and furnishings of the lobby/​lounge area is modern, simple and clean.
I don’t know about the women’s, but the men’s bathroom on the ground floor was clean. For those germ-​hating people, you can flush the toilets with a wave of your hand –don’t need to touch anything!
Although we didn’t use it, we found out that they had a shuttle to the airport. Good to know.

On two different trips to Maui, I stayed at this hotel. On both occasions, I found my room to be comfortable, the staff to be friendly and helpful, the restaurant and bar sporting a menu that is both tasty and nutritious, and the pool/​whirlpool area are well-​kept and a great place to unwind. I’d happily stay here again on a future visit. This Marriott is near the Kahului airport and close to the city and all that it has to offer. Drive to the east and you can traverse the Hana Highway. Travel south and west and you can visit central Maui and go to Lahaina.

My friends and I stayed here for a weekend get away from Oahu. WOW! This has been the nicest Marriott hotel I’ve stayed at so far considering I’ve been to 5 or so other Marriott’s. We booked with a vacation package that included airfare so I can’t give an exact amount on how much they charged per night but it was very reasonable. However, they do charge $ 10 for parking and an additional fee for 2 or more guests. There are many parking stalls so you don’t have to worry.
The location in this area was great for us. Well depending on what you are looking for. It’s minutes away from the Kahalui airport. We decided to stay here because we didn’t want the hussle and bussle in Lahaina or in other towns. Plus, we figured it’s best to stay in between Lahaina and Haleakala that way our drive to different locations wouldn’t have to be as long. AND, you won’t need to drive as far/​much (time wise) if you’re heading to Hana or Haleakala vs people coming from Lahaina which have to tack on an additional 40 minutes or so to the drive.
This hotel is literally across the street from costcos, krispy kreme, kmart, & many other places. Amenities were great! There’s a mini bistro/​café, swimming pool, fire pit to warm up, swimming pool, jacuzzi, gym, computers available to use, dining area, microwave, snacks, & much more. The list just goes on and on. The staff were very nice and helpful. The rooms were nice and spacious enough since we were out and about most of the time so that wasn’t a huge factor for us. Interior and exterior were excellent.
I would definitely recommend this location to people. I look forward to coming back to this hotel. :)

Great hotel– it’s clean, bed are so comfortable (much needed after a long day at work), friendly staff, fire pit– and close to Costco’s & the airport.

Right next to the airport, had we known we could have nearly walked. Nice bar open till 10, with super nice staff. Rooms are fresh and new, if your coming from the east coast and taking all day to arrive, this is a great place to spend the first night. Which we did. Nice gym with new equipment, though not your normal brands. Parking is $ 10 a night, surprise.
