Super soft shave ice. The kids and my wife devoured the cones. The flavor was sweet but not too syrupy. They also have a lot of cool souvenirs. I probably will return to buy a big beach hat before we leave the island.

It was truly one of the best shave ice that I ever had. It was delicious and they make their own syrups. The store has lot of neat things worth checking out. The prices are very reasonable too. I bought a little toy for my son fully expecting that I will be charged an arm and hey leg, but that was not the case. I got to talk to the owner, Mona Who was really nice.

Shave ice is much better than island snow. Only down fall is no ice cream. The other trinkets in the store are cool as well

Excellent shaved ice. I got the small passion fruit and regretted right away that I didn’t get a large. They have the real old school machine and it’s a very cute store.

Love this local shop for hydoflask needs and they carry my favorite local deodorant(lol) TLDYEU try it! They have the best shave ice. The owner makes the syrups and is always friendly. They have great local items good for gifts and stoking out family that maybe moved away. Lots of aloha here

Excellent shave ice, and the best flavors in town. I’m a ginger freak, and theirs is super! It had such good flavor, spice, and little flecks of real ginger. This IS the best place for shave ice, no lie!

Love this gem of a store! In a time where stores in Kailua are catering to your average tourist and carrying the same old stuff, Kailua General Store shines by being original and downright adorable. The items they have range from vintage toys and goods to Hawaii/Kailua apparel that’s not embarrassing to wear in public. You can also cool down with fantastic shave ice made with a smile. I highly recommend this store for any gifting needs, get your butt in there and get the goods for all the sad folks suffering back on the mainland.

We stayed in Kailua recently for a family vacation, and I had earmarked this little store to visit during our trip. We stopped in on our last day, and I’m glad that we did! It was different than I was expecting — a hodge podge of souvenirs, gifts, textiles, local pantry noms, and personal grooming goods(pretty random, but cool). We selected a mug to purchase, along with a little flower decal for our daughter’s bedroom window. On the way to check out, we also noticed a nice assortment of local artist paintings hanging on the wall, already framed — but for sale! One immediately caught our eye and we made an impulse decision to buy it. Totally unplanned, but this beautiful little painting of Kailua Beach was also beautifully framed and we knew we’d regret not purchasing it. We did not try the shave ice since it was 10a and raining, but if/when we return to Kailua, we will absolutely stop in again. Definitely worth your time to check out!

Shave ice Is yummy! This is a cool place to find little gifts and trinkets for friends, family, or treat yourself. The people are very nice and there is always something cute I want to buy. Most recently I got my son a Hydroflask and he was stoked. I recommend stopping by if you are in Kailua.

Saw some reviews on Unilocal and stopped by for last minute souvenir shopping for my wife. Owners were friendly, we came in 30 minutes before they closed on the way to dinner at Haleiwa Joe’s. I like the neat toys and trinkets section.

Need gifts for your friends or family? This store has so many cute things! I’m in love. I find that some of it is a little overpriced but there are many little things they sell that are adorable, priced right and perfect gifts(for you or your friends). I love stopping by here when I find myself with some spare time in Kailua.

One of my favorite places to shop for goodies to send to family who miss home. home being Kailua!!! Steve and Mona are always smiling and happy to help and offer suggestions… Ask for punch card and earn discounts for future shopping trips! I love to get the 967tree4 stickers and the I LOVE Kailua shits! I bought my mom some books and even got a Kailua General Store shot glass for a good friend. I tell you there is something in there for every one, including the kids! Candies and toys to their delight! Don’t forget to get your shave ice… so many delish flavors… This is a must stop whenever you are in Kailua or just make the trip from wherever you are YOUWILLBEGLADYOUDID!!!

Store is great. Got lots of stickers and T-shirts to take back to the mainland. They also have tank tops for females that my wife really likes. The hydroflask collection is probably one of the best on the island. I bought 4 of them from Kailua General Store to take back to work. The shave ice is awesome and it’s centrally located in kailua. Great place to sit down and eat shave ice and drink a juice after a long surf session. Shave ice herein cheaper and better than anywhere else. Highly recommend visiting this store and checking it out. Great little kailua shop and local business. If you are in the neighborhood check it out.

Great place to get a shave ice. Steve is friendly and will keep you entertained. The ingredients are fresh and unique. They had fresh squeezed lilikoi last time I was there. The seating is comfortable with a nice view of the marsh. The store itself sells all sorts of great things. I bought two hydroflasks to take back home along with souvenir shot glasses for my entire family. Bottom line: It’s a must visit when you come to Kailua. Grab a shave ice and local products to take back to the mainland.

All Kailua all day! Great local products. It is small and kinda hard to find but once you find it, it is worth it. The best thing ever is the coconut syrup and the Kailua t shirts.
