I walked in with a very small job, sewing 10 half circles of material precutt. I didn’t need it for 3 weeks yet she said she was too busy. She was very rude. I totally would not go back. totally don’t recommend her. will tell my friends not to go there. Worst place I have ever tried to do business with. I think she is prejudiced.

Naoe is a fantastic seamstress. Everything I’ve brought to her always looks great afterward! Her store is also very clean, she doesn’t have needles and thread all over the floor like a few other places I’ve tried.
She is very honest, so if you have a fragile ego, go somewhere else. Her knowledge of what looks flattering on body types is spot on. I value her opinion because she knows her fabrics and knows what looks good!
I know some people seem to be put out by the way she acts… just make sure you are on your best behavior if you do go to see her. If you treat her with respect, she will do the same for you. Seriously. all you have to do is be nice, and LISTEN to her advice. She doesn’t do this just for the money. She makes sure you get a quality product back.
She does not tolerate people yakking on their cell phone the whole time, she does not like it if you come in making ignorant comments like «Oh my god, do you know what seven for all mankind is??!» of course she does, she’s not stupid. If you are rude to her, she will give it back to you. She will also tell you if a piece of clothing is not worth fixing, and if you can’t accept that, it will make her very irritated. People also need to realize that what she fixes is also a representation of her store as well. So if she tells you her opinion, listen to her. She appreciates that.
On a side note, she also does excellent work on Panama Hats! Beautiful work in fact. She sews the sweatbands and the decorative bands onto them. Ask her about it if you are interested in getting one! They are not cheap, but they are absolutely beautiful hats!

I just walked out of her store. I brought in a pair of new pants that need shortening at legs. She literally showed me the door saying that she wouldn’t do the job. When I asked why she said «too busy!» I told her politely that I was in no hurry, that I could wait as long as necessary, weeks if that’s how long she needed. She refused, saying she was, again, «too busy.»
I was dumbfounded. I asked her if she had stopped accepting all work orders, and she got angry. I asked if she could refer me to another local seamstress, and her response was «check the yellow pages!»
Ridiculous.

Having lived all over the world, I swear by Naoe’s ability to alter ANYTHING I bring in to her!
From performance gowns, to every day clothes.
She even is able to ‘change a style’ of any given item of clothing I give to her, to make it fit my body.
I’ve had her cut my husbands pants, to make them into shorts, and even some of my family members have un-​even limb lengths and Naoe is able to make them fit perfectly!
I agree with the other review that she is very honest, so much that if something does NOT work with your body type, she will say it, but I appreciate this!
She’s like the honest friend you always Hope and Wish you had, that would tell you NO to the mini-​skirt you have chosen for some party ~ versus realizing too late, no thanks to pictures that are taken by others at the party, that you looked like a stuffed sausage and should not have been allowed out in public wearing that!
Naoe makes you look good in the clothes you bring to her.
She can make them work!
Post Italian vacation… ate too much pasta & pane. No c’e problemo! Naoe will add elastic to the waist band of your favorite pair of jeans ;P
Post-​baby change of «assets» in the upper region. ehhem. No problem. She will make you still look curvaceous and not deflated!
But she can get busy, as she IS GREAT, so be sure to give her time to do the magic you need, or just be super nice, bring her an edible treat, say «Domo Arigato» with heart, and beg her to rush it !

I have been taking my clothes here for over a year now and the work has been excellent! I’m not sure why Charlie, AlohaGirl, and Karen had such a bad experience. The owner, Naoe, is extremely friendly, does excellent work, and her prices are a steal! She can be blunt sometimes, which may be mistaken as rude, but I don’t see it that way. She is asian and in some asian culture being blunt doesn’t mean being rude. Recently I had to have a bridesmaid dress hemmed and it was a bubble dress. David’s bridal estimated a minimum of $ 45. Naoe charged my $ 40 but that included the hem, taking out in the bust, fixing a stitching on a skirt, and fixing a dress for me. She has altered many blouses, dresses, and even pants for me, all at a reasonable price and with great quality work. I also like her honestly. I had a suit that my mom gave me that she had «hemmed» on her own. She is shorter than I am. I asked the owner to take them out to make the sleeves and the pant legs longer. She told me she could do it but that I wouldn’t be happy. When I asked why she said because the crease that had formed from when my mom «fixed» them were so old that even if she let some material out the creases would not go away. I appreciated that she was honest with me. She could have easily done the work, charged me, and then I would have had to deal with the creases on my own. She also has been honest about some tops to have them altered would cost more than to buy a new one and she has even told me that some alterations won’t make it look nicer and it’s better to save money and buy new clothes instead of fixing or trying to save a clothing I think want. She has always been friendly. She loves to chat and talk story. Her work is great, she makes everything look good, her prices are more than reasonable, and overall she is wonderful!

Meh. I don’t know why it is so difficult to find an alterations shop that can do a quality job without taking too long for a reasonable price. I took a very simple hemming job to the shop. They did okay work in a fairly reasonable turnaround time but the price they charged me was really high. They were civil but not especially friendly. Not sure when or if I will be back.

I have been going to them since I was a little kid. Now as an adult I still take my clothes in for repairs or alterations. She does an excellent job on everything she has done for me and my mom. The hems have been excellent, the lines all straight, and the quality excellent. She is always a pleasant to talk to and is very polite.

I’m very disappointed in this business. Over the past few months I have taken many items to be altered. I have had the owner hem jeans, take in dresses, shorten the sleeves on jackets, and shorten the hem on shirts. I thought her work was always good. She was really nice too and chatted with me about my day and my job.
However, one day she hemmed my shirt unevenly. I asked politely if she could re-​do it to even it out. She was extremely rude and acted very put-​out. In the end, she did fix the hem without charging extra.
The next two times I went into her store however, she gave me the silent treatment, only speaking when absolutely necessary. She didn’t smile or greet me at all. When I tried to make friendly conversation she refused to say anything back.
I’m sad this has happened as I used to genuinely enjoy chatting with her. Now her manner is just too hostile for me. I will not be back and now I have to find another alterations place.

As a needlepointer I found a serious lacking… this is a knitting and christmas ornament/​decoration shop.
