Love the staff and everything they offer here! They have been so helpful with my insurance and everyone is super helpful and knowledgable. :)

Yesterday was my first appointment there and the staff was beyond nice. They gave me a massage and took X-​rays to see what could possibly the problem and why was my back hurting over all I had a good experience with them.
How ever the childcare that they provide I was not a big fan of it. Yes it’s free so for all those minus and daddy’s that have to bring their kids to the appointment they can.
Well when I went to drop of my daughter for the first time the ladies there didn’t even acknowledge me honey were to busy sitting down and talking to themselves after some time I was like heyyyyy and one of the 3 girls came to me and I told her it was my first time leaving my daughter here. They gave me a little paper that I had to fill out. I was very hesitant on leaving my daughter there because not to be mean they seem that they were not keeping an eye on the kids. Plus I was so paranoid leaving her in a new environment. Well when my appointment was over I went to go get her and the ladies saw me but didn’t greet me. Keep in mind it was my first time so I didn’t know if I had to wait for them to call Destiney of i had to sign her out. Until I called them they were like ohh yeah you just have to sign your name here. I will still be using their free childcare for my appointments but I wish the ladies were a little more attentive to the kids and parents when they arrive.

When my pain management specialist first referred me to the Oahu Spine and Rehab I was sceptical at best. Not because of the place itself but because I had undergone multiple specialists as well as two rehab facilities over the years on the East Coast only to meet up with disappoints and failures each and every time. Over medicating seemed to be the preferred method of healing for them but it wasn’t for me. To say I was worn out both physically as well as mentally and emotionally was an understatement. I needed my life to change in order to break out of its current cycle. So I moved back home to try to improve my health as well as to try and get a second lease on my life. I decided that although I was extremely nervous and a little apprehensive as to what I was to expect at the OSR that I was going to go in with an open mind and put myself out there once again. You see I had nothing left to lose really. I have had to deal with the chronic pain and weakness from an injury on my own that occurred over 18 years ago and was ill treated for almost as long. So whether the experience of my first visit to OSR was encouraging or another disappointment I was going to approach it as if it was the first step to a new possible future.
For those of you who might relate to my story let me tell you what I found at the Oahu Spine and Rehab. I found H.O.P.E. (Healing, Optimism, Purpose, Encouragement) which I can tell you is a powerful thing and a life altering emotion especially for someone who felt they lost it to begin with. The OSR has literally changed my life by simply renewing my hope in the future. The staff is not only highly trained and knowledgeable but they work together like a cohesive machine. Other places may offer something similar but along with their expertise and specialized fields they offer moral support and a personable environment that literally makes them stand out from all others. I travel over four hours by bus round trip three times a week in order to attend my sessions. I would not be able to stay as motivated or as enthusiastic in my healing process if it were not for the OSR staff and for what the Oahu Spine and Rehab has to offer. I now know that whatever my journey towards healing may entail I will be empowered and filled with hope because of what I have found at the Oahu Spine and Rehab.

Sorry to say after going to this place for months I wouldn’t send anyone here. I think their more concerned with getting money then the patients care. Everything’s accommodating in the beginning until they start getting your money after that good luck finding consistent appointments. After my last massage I won’t be going back. She whispered to herself the whole treatment and used one hand. I have never experienced anything this unusual! They offer childcare but failed to change my sons diaper the last 2 visits so after sitting in a soiled diaper for two hours he had a horrible rash! I don’t usually write bad reviews but I’m so disappointed!

I shouldn’t complain since I won a massage at one of the promotions. But yesterday’s experience made me leave without a massage. I was kept waiting for half an hour for a doctor’s (?) consultation with no explanation for the delay. I didn’t know if there was a reason for it, but I felt this was unacceptable. Luckily, I don’t need physical therapy at the moment, because this would not be a place I’d choose.

Great staff as they are both knowledgable and good at what they do. There are times where there is a large influx of patients and they have a good system to keep things moving to where noone is waiting too long for service. I love getting adjustments here and I immediately feel the difference after!

Love the staff and facilities here at Oahu Spine and Rehab. Having so many treatment modalities and providers under one roof has been so helpful in actually getting better. The front staff desk really deserves kudos for keeping all of our appointments organized and smooth, too. Their ability to work with my insurance is very much welcomed, too.
And then — kid care too! That makes it so much easier to keep my appointments.

I started going to OSR in the Spring of 2015. They were awesome at first, but now I am completely over them.
PROS: PT staff is EXCELLENT, free child care, open late. CONS: Customer service sucks.
Ever since Sam and Sarah left the front desk, the customer service here sucks. Badly. The front desk used to be so good at calling to confirm appointments, explaining processes, etc. One day the front desk put me on hold for 10 minutes without checking back. When I hung up and called back, the front desk immediately asked if they could put me on hold (AGAIN) and I said, «NO, I was just on hold for 10 minutes!» A couple of times I’ve called the medical coordinator and left a message and never got a call back. Re-​evals and appointments in general became far and few between because they were always booked. Another time I made a massage appointment and told them I was pregnant. When I showed up, the therapist looked puzzled because no one told her I was pregnant. Isn’t that supposed to be noted in my chart?! What really did it for me was after I got my massage, I booked another massage appointment for two weeks later. A week before my massage appointment, the front desks calls to reschedule because only two therapists are approved by my insurance to do my massage. Mmkay, well why did I get a massage two weeks prior and no one said anything then? Why didn’t anyone tell me a few days after my massage there was an issue with my insurance/​scheduling/​etc. Front desk says they’ll figure something out and will call me back. A day later it turns out that they can’t accommodate me and it didn’t even seem like they even tried to.
Three stars because although the PT staff is excellent, my experience with the front desk (which is the face of the company) has been unsatisfactory.

I don’t have one positive thing to say about Oahu Spine and Rehab. I should have gotten the hint the first day I went in there for my evaluation. I had to repeat the name of my insurance company 6 different times to 2 different people during the course of that single appointment, because they kept referring to the wrong one. And not even the same wrong one. It went back and forth from HMAA (correct) to HMSA to UHA and back again before it finally sank in. They had the copy of my insurance card, but still couldn’t seem to get the alphabet right. I didn’t leave there feeling a professional vibe, but excused it because everyone has bad days.
Second appointment was yesterday, and that went all right at first. The treatment itself was OK but everything went downhill when at the end the therapist insisted I didn’t have an appointment the following day when I knew I did. She wouldn’t help me straighten it out, and then every instruction she gave me after that made absolutely no sense because she was telling me I needed to do something at a time when she also said I had no appointment for PT. Repeated questioning and expressions of confusion got me no better info. Then when I insisted she clear it up before I left, she dumped me at the front desk without telling them anything either, and she walked away.
Eventually it got explained to me that my appointment had been moved to another therapist, but NO ONE TOLD ME. Then the receptionist went on to claim I had received a certain type of treatment before that I had not (this was the first time I had even been there for therapy), and when I pointed that error out, she asked me what they were supposed to do for me. How was I supposed to know when no one would tell me anything?
I asked for a change of therapist and that got worked out, so I was all ready to go back today with the new guy. But there is one complicating factor — I was recently diagnosed with breast cancer and I have multiple appointments with doctors and for tests that I have needed to squeeze the PT in between. One of those appointments got rescheduled, which might have made me five minutes late for a 5:30 check in for a 6pm PT appointment. Yes, they wanted me to check in and just sit there and wait for half an hour, without even any paperwork or anything to do, but I was told they would not allow me that 5 minute late check-​in, regardless of the importance of my cancer treatment, which translates into my health and my LIFE.
I don’t know her name but she was the dark-​haired receptionist, and she would not budge no matter how I pleaded. That was the last straw. I cancelled all future appointments and asked to speak to a manager, who was conveniently out of the office. Now I’ll be waiting for the return phone call that never comes.
So if these are the kind of people you want working with your body when you are in pain; who can’t get anything straight from the moment you walk in the door; and who make unnecessary and arbitrary rules that they will not bend even if your house is on fire, then by all means, go let Oahu Spine and Rehab refuse to help you too. Masochists most welcome!
I will add that as I finished writing this, the therapist I had the misunderstanding with did phone to apologize. I feel like I could accept that apology and move on if it were not for the fact that they wouldn’t work with me on the appointment when I had a very, very good reason for it and it wouldn’t have even cut into the actual appointment.
Edited to add: As suspected, as of Friday, ⁹⁄₁₈ — one week after the appointment incident — the promised call from the manager never came.
2^nd update: Still no call from the manager addressing the horrible way I was treated, but adding insult to injury, a few months later I did receive a blatantly obvious FORM LETTER from said manager encouraging me to return for physical therapy. I think not!

I’ve been coming here for a while. And honestly this is the best place to go for physical therapy. I hurt my back three years ago. And after multiple doctors, finally they figured out what is wrong with my back! I’ve made so much progress in two months with them! What’s awesome is that when you come here you get so much. You get trigger point massage, e-​stem (which is awesome), traction tables, chiropractic, physical therapy and rehab! They also offer acupuncture, massage therapy, x-​rays on site and a weight loss program! My favorite thing about this place is how nice the staff is here. Honestly, it’s not like your going to physical therapy. It’s like your going to hang out with all your favorite friends!

Building is exceptionally clean, staff is warm and welcoming, and treatment is beyond my best expectations.

There are people who have come only once and had neg things to say. I have been here a few months and love all the staff! They have all gone above and beyond to help me. All the people dissing them don’t know what they are talking about!

I went in for an 11:30 but wasn’t on the massage table until after 12. The Chiropractor there seemed to be flirting inappropriately with the staff, and the front desk staff were swamped. Also, there were a lot of people waiting for a long time after they came in to be seen. The massage therapist was really wonderful, though. I guess I shouldn’t complain because I won the massage in a drawing, and I’m glad to have been able to try the place out before I made any kind of commitment. I’m probably never going back again.

Update* 4÷20÷15 since being treated from January to mid February I have been pain free for 2 months now. I continue to see the chiropractor at oahu spine and rehab for adjustments, as they are complimentary for 12 months upon completing rehab. I also get a massage once a month, not free but definitely helps with my maintaining a healthy back.

I love this place for so many reasons! I love the people that work here and the huge amount of pain relief I’ve experienced while going here. I actually miss them on days I don’t see them. If you are in pain you have to check them out. They encompass every aspect of healing: chiropractic, physical therapy/​rehab, massage, and so much more. This placed is filled with smiling faces and wonderful people. Any negative reviews are all from people who have been once or haven’t been at all. Give them a chance and you won’t be sorry. They take all sorts of insurance including tricare standard and prime. And BONUS… they have FREE child care by loving and patient ladies. Tell them Casey sent you!

Great people, really helped my back problems.

In town on vacation and ran into some back problems that could have ruined my trip. Made a stop into OSR and they saved the day! Incredible staff, beautiful office, and on top of all that it even came with incredible views so I still felt like I was in Hawaii. In one stop, I was able to get an X-​Ray, have my problem diagnosed (too much to type), and an expert on hand to work on me as well as give me some exercises I could do at home. All around an A+ experience.

I decided to try this place out on a Wednesday since I picked up a flyer for a free adjustment for Military, which includes retirees and dependents. I had my friend call and make an appt too since we are both massage therapists and could use an adjustment. My appointment was at 11 and his was 11:15.
We had no problems getting here and parking in the garage, we took the elevator labeled for building C and made our way to the check in desk. We handed over our Dependent ID cards and received a paper to fill out describing any pain/​injuries in the past 6 months. Once we finished, we wrote our sponsor’s social and DOB on a copy of our ID card and were told it would be a $ 10 donation. Neither one of us were made aware of this «donation.» I guess since we are not the AD members we have to pay. After that we were each taken to separate rooms to wait for the Chiropractor. There seems to only be one on the premises and he uses one room, since I was in it my friend had to wait in a separate room. He goes over the check marks for injuries and tells you about their 4 step program. Then someone else comes in to go over paperwork and talk about being a new patient. Once that is done you get an adjustment. Everything he did took less than 2 minutes and I do myself at home. I thought it would be a different/​better adjustment but it wasn’t. Then I waited for my friend. We were there for 2 hours for a total of 5 min hands on by the chiropractor.
My own opinion is it was pretty ridiculous and a waste of time driving all the way out there.

I’ve been under OSR’s care since June ’14. I’m so impressed with the professionalism of the staff from reception to PT, rehab and medical department.
My previous experience with physical therapy was with military providers. OSR’s 4 phases of care procedure is comprehensive and encompasses treatment modalities the military medical system is too strapped to provide.
Personally, I’ve made more progress with my condition than I thought possible. I’m not 100% yet, but there’s light at the end of the tunnel.
I thoroughly recommend OSR for anyone who suffers from chronic back, neck, or hip pain.
Bonus: They accept TRICARE and host a military open house on Wednesdays. Your initial appointment is free and you can walk in.

Have not gone in for the appointment but just scheduled it, and will be going in a couple of weeks as I won a free massage here! Wha? Free massage? Why yes, I won a free massage! They offer those? Why yes they do at different community events! Check with the front desk for more info on that!

Let me extrapolate on that — because I was BLOWN away by that statement, and thought SURELY there MUST be some sort of restriction to it all! There must be SOME sort of catch 22 — NONE
You have your appointment, you get free daycare — no age restrictions. Lil infants all the way on up to whatever age you feel needs to be watched and cared for! Yes folks you read it right. My heart melted and I was just about ready to burst into tears right there on the phone — because trying to arrange someone to watch 1 set of twins seems to be an all out impossibility unless you are throwing the kids into day care full time or ya wait for the perfect planetary alignment to arrive to get your time as your better half watches the wee ones.
Will give a more comprehensive review once I get the appointment completed! :)
