Sharon’s Serenity is located on a canal overlooking Mid-​Pacific Country Club, with mountains in the background. A ten-​minute leisurely walk through Sharon’s quiet, upscale neighborhood will bring you to one of the most beautiful beaches in the world. Additionally, Sharon offers free breakfast or full use of the kitchen to her guests, and never charges extra cleaning fees. History

Established in 1988.

I was new to Hawaii in 1987, and a lovely young neighbor brought over a loaf of homade bread and said, «Your home is so wonderful and perfect for a B&B. Go talk with Gay down the street as she has one.» My husband was from Lanikai and we visited Kailua twice a year, but had no idea they had B&B’s so we always intruded on friends or his sister. I actually started the B&B the next year. It is without a doubt the most wonderful «non-​job» I have ever had. There was not much to learn as I had been cleaning toilets and making beds for 20 years + working outside the home 8 – 5 for all those years. Now I feel like I am on vacation with my guests. B&B owners are not allowed to cook for their guests on this island due to some silly rule they placed on us when trying to outlaw us in 1988, so I serve a wonderful full continental breakfast that people just love. My husband passed away 15 years ago, but I refuse to move back to the Mainland as I love my friends and sunshine. Come visit… Sharon

Sharon is in her twenty-​second year of running Sharon’s Serenity Bed and Breakfast in her home. She is, in the words of many of her guests, «filled with warmth and the spirit of Aloha.» Committed to ensuring that her guests have a wonderful visit, she is always helpful with suggestions of activities nearby and all over the island as well as directions. She and her furry «kids,» Bailey and Casey (two small and friendly dogs) are delighted to welcome you into their home.
