History

Established in 1953.

Membership in Windward Community FCU is open to all people who live, work, worship or go to school in our community which stretches from Makapuu Point to Chinaman’s Hat.

Our philosophy is «Neighbors Helping Neighbors», with the financial goal of distributing revenue and earnings to the entire membership through low-​cost loans, higher dividends and no or low fees. We are an organization for people, not profit. Members are the heart of our credit union and the Board of Directors are the backbone. The Board of Directors are unpaid volunteers who believe in the credit union movement.

Our motto, «Not for profit, not for charity, but for service,» explains how we price and offer our services. Unlike a bank where the bottom line is profit, our primary goal is to provide our members with the products and services they need in the most affordable way in a warm, friendly and professional manner.
