You’ll meet one of our friendly customer service associates when you stop by. All of our associates are certified packing experts.

We currently have 3 full-​time notaries on staff, so you can come at anytime during business hours for your Notary needs. No appointment is necessary.

Whether you are another small business like us that needs help, or simply someone that needs professional printing, customized packaging and shipping solutions, full service mailboxes for us to handle your mail and package receiving, or even shipping large freight items like cars or antiques, our staff can help. We also provide services in graphic design, small business marketing, passport photos, notary public, small business support, shipping supplies, international shipping, mailbox rentals, wide format printing (including blueprints, posters, and banners) and more. We also make keys — both home, commercial and auto.

History

Established in 2014.

Opened in 2014 by local owner, Kari Waldhaus. The UPS Store is an independently owned franchise.

The UPS Store® concept was introduced in 1980 as Mail Boxes Etc.® — a convenient alternative to the post office. Throughout its evolution, it has continued to define and lead the business services category it created. In 2001, UPS® acquired Mail Boxes Etc., Inc. In 2003, the two companies introduced The UPS Store® brand. On April 7, 2003, approximately 3,000 Mail Boxes Etc. locations in the United States re-​branded as The UPS Store and began offering lower UPS-​direct shipping rates. In 2012, Mail Boxes Etc., Inc. became The UPS Store, Inc. The centers remain locally owned and operated, and continue to offer a variety of packing, shipping, freight, postal, printing and business services, with convenient locations and world-​class service.

Meet the Business Owner

Kari W.

Business Owner

Besides owning and managing The UPS Store of Kamuela, Kari also owns The Entrepreneur’s Source as a business and career coach, helping business owners become more successful and helping those interested in business onwership find the right business for them. Kari was born and raised in Hawaii, grew up in Hilo on the Hawaii Island and also lived on Oahu for many years. Kari attended Hilo High School, UH Hilo and UH Manoa on Oahu. Her career included Accountant, Employee Benefits Senior Administrator and Trust Offier at both Bank of Hawaii and First Hawaiian Bank in Honolulu, and Senior Financial Advisor for AIG Financial Advisors. Kari is the Immediate-​Past President of The Rotary Club of North Hawaii and their current Treasurer. She is also a member of the Waimea Community Chorus, BNI Waimea Chapter, Kona-​Kohala Chamber of Commerce, Hawaii Island Chamber of Commerce, Honoka’a Business Association, WOW Waimea Women’s Business Book Club and other community organizations.
